1968 Pro Touring Project CarHave your dream Mustang built by the best in the businessGrubbs MotorsportsOver 20 years in business and currently building 2 Eleanor MustangsBuild your Bullitt, Eleanor, or Custom Fastback Mustang with us.
Ok, not to be confusing here but the car for sale isn't the Eleanor that we are currently finishing up but the 1968 project car rolling chassis. I put that picture up to show the quality of work we do at my shop. Grubbs Motorsports in Garland Texas is the premier Mustang and custom car shop in the DFW area, quality builds that do what they are made to do, run. We have built many similar year Mustangs over the last 20 years and I am working to sell this car as a built turnkey project. I will entertain offers for just the roller in its current state but it won't be cheap, with over 20,000 worth of blasting and work I'd prefer to build it all the way. We can talk numbers but we are not cheap so don't expect us to build it for less than 150,000. Our turnkey custom builds are very high quality, unlike many cars you'll find if you go inspect them ours are top quality throughout.
The car, a 1968 Original Ford Fastback with a Marti Report. The car has been fully professionally blasted and sealed with an Epoxy primer, after blasting, the car received a few patch panels to remove all rust. The car was very solid and didn't require much rust repair, mostly smaller patches and lower quarter sections, no full panels replaced. After the rust repair the car received a triangulated 4 link suspension in the rear with the original 8" Ford housing, not to worry, if we build this car with any level of horsepower we will build a 9" for it with the coilovers and 4 link. The underside has been coated in a smooth bedliner material and you'll see the subframe connectors tying it all together. Up front is a full Mustang II suspension and shock tower removal, the car retains the VIN number on the apron as well. This adds a big option for this car that we are big fans of, the Coyote engine will now fit the car properly. I have all the original interior as well as the original 289 and automatic transmission that is said to be numbers matching.
This car has endless options from a builders standpoint, if you like the Eleanor we can surely build that with any engine setup, we have built several throughout the years and are currently building 2 so we know our way around that car, be prepared to spend some money though. That is not a cheap build if it is don't properly, we can discuss pricing and options. I have several options for engines and transmissions. The other easier option is a Bullitt car of some form, my choice would be a modern beefier version of that car. Imagine a mini tubbed sitting low Bullitt car with bigger diameter wheels and a supercharged Coyote sitting under the hood, that's our style. You can buy a regular Bullitt car online right now for 40K on up to 150K. At Grubbs Motorsports we specialize in making cars unique, it'll fit you, it'll have your input, we will build the car to you based on your height, stature, taste, etc. After all, this is a huge investment, and our cars are proven to last. On site you'll find every piece of equipment to build your car in house, every step of the way the car never leaves. Checkout our website grubbsmotorsports.net to see our facility and some of the cars we build, we also have a youtube channel GrubbsMotorsports. You are welcome to call and discuss this car with me at 469-387-9796 My name is Michael and I am the owner of the company. This is typically a year long project to build one of these cars, where the car sits now will help us hit that deadline because it is already a good bit along the way. I am putting a high number on the buy it now because I have to put a price, however the actual price will vary depending on how we build you the car.
