Offered for the first time publicly we have a 1935 Ford time capsule with only 17,363 documented miles since new.

This car was sold new to a woman in Beckley West Virginia and was seldom driven from the date of its original purchase to the time she stopped driving in 1951.

The car was stored in her garage until after her passing in 1962. Shortly thereafter, in 1963, her family took the car to the local Ford dealer and traded it in on a new Thunderbird.

The owner of the Ford Dealership, Grady Whitlock, liked the car and opted to keep it and put it on display in his showroom. It remained there, on display, in a climate controlled environment for the next fifty years until we acquired it.

This car was disassembled and repainted the factory correct 1935 color combination of Palm Beach Grey with Cinabar Red wheels, hand painted pinstripe and color-matched bumper accents.

In addition, all weather stripping to include all door, hood and trunk seals were replaced with new, correct replacements.

All chrome and stainless steel parts were removed and either re-chromed or re-polished. Any pieces that weren't up to standard were replaced with Bob Drake parts of the highest quality. These include four new hubcaps, both stainless steel running board trim strips, Ford V8 hood ornament and all trunk latches and hinges.

The interior was in remarkable, original condition with virtually no rips or tears and only minimal fading. As such, we elected to leave the interior as-is and reinstall it in the car. As a condition of this sale, a brand new, complete and correct LeBaron Bonney interior valued at $3,400 will be included. You may have this installed if you wish.

This car starts, runs, shifts, drives and stops like new. There are absolutely no squeaks, rattles or smoke. A new gas tank and fuel pump were installed at the time of rebuild to eliminate any problems with old, varnished fuel hindering reliability.
