Up for bid is a very special 1923 Ford Model T Roadster unlike most that you will see anyplace in the country. This car has only 35 miles since a complete no expense spared nut and bolt show quality restoration from a great original example that was performed by the McPherson College Automotive Restoration in Kansas in 2009. The high quality restoration performed here on this car earned it its First AACA Junior status award following the restoration in 2009. followed by First AACA Senior honors in August 2010 at Moline. Illinois. When I purchased this car all the proceeds went back to benefit future projects of the Automotive Restoration degree program at McPherson College. PLEASE MAKE NOTE; I took these pictures this past summer as I was going to sell it then but decided to hold off because I really wanted to hold on to the car but I could use the room now so I will now let it go. Also since then a couple of items have been added that you do not see in the add. #1 is Rocky mountain brakes. #2 A moto-Meter with wings. #3 a water pump. These can be easily removed should you wish to continue to judge the car. As you will see by the almost 150 detailed photographs below this restoration that was done shows an example of a restoration only on cars that would command six figures in today’s automotive hobby to justify the cost. Because of the fact this car was done by the College one could never justify the cost to restore this type of car unless doing most of the work on your own and then only to be equipped with the proper machinery and skills to do a fine job as this. This Model T was a complete correct numbers matching dated car in good condition before the restoration and from the numbers is an August 23 production car. Everything was done to this car including all mechanicals throughout and I will say from driving this car I now know what it was like in 1923 to drive a new Model T out of the Ford dealer for the first time. I have owned well over 300 cars in my forty years of collecting from a 1909 Sears to Super eight Packard’s. some of those cars being Model T’s and this is one of the best driving examples of a Ford T I have driven and not surprised seeing the quality of the restoration of this car. I will go on to sat that the paint finish is the very best quality of any black finish I have ever seen and is flawless throughout both on top and bottom. Please Note that on some of the pictures you will see that some of the black may seem to be more grayer in spots but that was due to the fact that I had to lighten some of the pictures because of the deep finish on this car to show more detail and when this happens the black becomes a little gray. Moving on you will see that I removed the floor boards also so you can see in detail how this car was done and is perfect anyplace you look. in fact this car will look better in person then how you are seeing it here because the camera will sometimes pick up dust or things you cannot see with the eye. Everything on this car is correct and is ready for the finest AACA judging event anyplace in the country. If you had to choose Ten of the finest examples of a Ford Model T in the Country this would with out question be one of them. Best of luck to all on this stunning car.
