Real West Texas 1968 J-code Fastback Mustang "Treasure Find"!
This is a very solid, straight, virtually rust free authentic "J" code 1968 Fastback Mustang which also maintains it's "running" numbers matching all original drivetrain.
This Mustang was originally delivered to the Ford dealership in LaMesa Texas and spent itsentire life in the same West texas area, being owned by only 3 individuals. For the past 35 years, it had been sitting on blocks, covered and sheltered underneath a carport.
All paint, body metal and glass (with exception of windshield), as well as engine, transmission, interior, etc. are "all" original to this car! Floor pans, frame and complete underside are "very" solid with only "surface rust" showing. Upholstery is also surprisinglystill supple considering it's spent it's life in the dry, hot west texas region. Just overall a super awesome and solid "true survivor".
Car will run and drive but fuel system and brakes will need to be fully serviced before it could be made safely road-worthy. Title is also "Clear" and ready for it's new owner.
Overall I would say this is a very solid and nice car that will require very minimal body panel work and would make a super easy and solid numbers match restorationcandidate. Something you will rarely find anymore in this "survivor" condition.
