You are bidding on a real, restored 1964-1/2 mustang pace car.In 1964 Lee Iacocca commissioned only 190 Indy 500 Pace Car Mustang coupe's to be supplied to key Ford dealers as part of an incentive program and to commemorate Mustang's appearance as the official pace car of the Indy 500 for 1964. These coupes were the only 1964 Mustangs painted "Pace Car White", which is paint code "C" on the door data plate. Each car had white interior w/blue dash & carpet, code "42". Equipped w/260 V8, power steering, rear b/u lights and automatic transmission.It is believed that less than 25 roadworthy examples still exist.This car is 1 of 3 known to be restored to Concours Driven specifications per the Mustang Club of America.This car is number 8 on the list of the 20 rarest Production Mustangs from 1964-1/2 to 1973.This car is not only rare, but numbers matching also.
