Car description

Hello, this listing is for a custom 1989 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 Convertible as-shown that we acquired through a storage lien sale. This car was built in the mid to late 1990`s as you see it here, and was a popular show car in the Chicago area, winning dozens of trophies, until it was put into storage around 2002 or 2003. It was even in an issue of Lowrider magazine in 2001. It has 59,000 actual miles, and never had any rust or accident damage.
Just about everything is custom on this car as can be seen in the pictures. It really is a time machine. There are murals on the hood, trunk lid,and inside the door jambs. The paint has held up very well, with only a handful of minor chips/scratches. The interior is starting to come apart around the edges, but still looks great. Tons of polished and chrome bits under the hood. The hood opens backwards, the door handles are shaved. There is a Saleen style spoiler on it. It still has it`s era-correct stereo which does work. There are 4-batteries in the trunk and 2 pumps. The hydraulics do work, but there seems to be a small leak somewhere up front.
The top is in great shape, but is a little sluggish. The power windows all work, as well as the remote power door locks.
The engine runs great, and the transmission and brakes work as they should. It has 15-inch Player wire wheels.
It has New Tires,New Radiator, New Water Pump,New Alternator, New Batteries, One Rebuilt Hydraulic Pump, Oil Change,Tune-Up,Fuel System gone through, and more.
The right front tire has a rim leak,so it goes down after a day, common with older wire wheels. We have not driven the car any great distances, just around the block a few times,so I am unsure how it would do on any long trips.
I have spoken to the son of the man who painted this car,and he remembers it well. I also spoke to the guy who installed the hydraulics. They both seemed to love that the car was still around.
We have a clear IL title in-hand in our name. Please look at the pictures and ask ANY questions first. If you are able to come see the car in person you are welcome and urged to do so. We are located in Naperville,IL 60564. You can contact us 708-289-768, call or text.
