3rd Family owned 40 Standard Sedan No Rust EverHas 10 year old DP90 basically ready to Block & Paint.I bought the car from my neighbor who owned it over 30 years. He got it from his aunt who bought it in 1961 from the original owner. I?ve got a copy of the 1961 title.
It was originally Meadowbrook Green but my neighbor put this wonderful red interior which followed the original 40 Ford seams. The interior was done about 20 years ago but looks fantastic.I was going to paint it black to match my original restored Mullins trailer. When I bought it the trans was slipping out of 2nd gear so I had it professionally rebuilt with 49 Ford guys & new clutch (shifts like butter). The short block was (allegedly a NOS Mercury installed in 1968) with I say it?s 40 heads.I say allegedly because no receipts from 1968. However local folks in Texas know of the gentleman in Cleburne, TX who used to sell these amongst other Cool Early V8 stuff. It?s still on it?s original 6 volt positive ground system. If it ain?t Broke Don?t Fix It!Although generator is rebuilt along with new original style cloth wiring wiring harness. This car is Cool because of what it Isn't! Not because of what it is.This car is a little more pricey because of what it isn?Not because of what it is. It's not all "Fixed Up!â€It has 15" wheels with Mercury caps. Still has it original 16" Spare.Of course the price is negotiable. I'Ve got 11 running vintage cars so not too motivated to trade. I don't have time drive across country for trades.Definitely not interested in anything Off Road or Harley's!
