Car description |

Just restored 1990 7-Up Mustang! If you are unfamiliar with the 7-UP Mustang, Google 7-Up Mustang and find out why this Mustang is a limited edition and ultimately became the 25thAnniversary Mustang! One of 1,360 produced with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Variations from stock are the following subtle but improved changes. Lowering springs, leather shift handle, painted engine bay exterior color with clear, spark plug wires (Ford Motorsport wires) and I had some factory brackets powder coated or painted to look better. Lastly, 2 ½ inch Dynomax cat back exhaust system with stainless tips.
Car has 69,860 miles and from the Auto Check looks to beactual. However just about everything taken a part, inspected and replaced or refinished. This is about a new as you can get with one of these cars!
To start, it was stripped down to bare metal and prepped for base coat/clear coat paint. Everything was taken off the body and cleaned. Fenders, doors, hood and trunk were removed to be prepped for paint. Even the underside of the car had all brake and fuel lines as well as the fasteners andbracketsremoved to be cleaned, refinished and reinstalled or replaced. The floor pan was cleaned and is spotless! Car was prepped right for refinish including epoxy primer then urethane primer and block sanded to 600 grit before paint and clear. Engine compartment also prepped and painted to match exterior.
All new brake system including master cylinder, power booster, pads, calipers, shoes and lines. New rack & pinion, power steering pump and lines, New AC lines, heater core and all hoses. Water pump also replaced. Engine was cleaned, painted and new gaskets installed. Also wiring harnesses cleaned re-wrapped with new loom and tape.
All new suspension including poly bushings, springs and shocks/struts/quad shocks. New rear axles, bearings and seals, Front control arms were powder coated as were the underside factory chassis stiffening braces. Windshield trim also powder coated along with a few of the engine brackets.
New weatherstripping all around and new exterior body moldings. New convertible top, top pads, rear window (glass) and well liner. New exterior badges. New headlights and taillights. New exterior door mirrors.
New interior carpet and leather seat upholstery. New map pockets on the door panels. Dash was taken out and reconditioned as was center console. Rear interior quarter panels reconditioned and new vinyl applied. Window, lock and mirror switches replaced along with bezels due to white lettering faded. Also, the turn signal switch (stalk) was replaced (lettering was worn). Shifter bezel and boot replaced with the shift handle upgraded with leather one. New window motors on rear windows and all window bushings replaced. Windows are adjusted and work great.
I'm sure I am forgetting a few things and have a folder full of receipts for all the parts that were replaced and for the materials to do the work.
Car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction in the event of local sale.
