Car description |
---|
Bought car in '79, recently transferred title to daughter who is helping me sell this. Engine rebuilt in 1991, overhauled it: new rings, bearing, rubbers, rebuilt transmission. The overhauled engine only has about 10k miles on it. The body has about 136k miles on it. Vin numbers on the engine match vin on body.
351 Cleveland Engine, 8 cylinder. Transmission is a C6 automatic/3 speed.
Original interior except radio/tape deck was an add. Back seat folds down. WHEELS & HUBCAPS ARE ORIGINAL FACTORY CHROME! Paint is not original, was painted this color when I bought it in '79.
Added exhaust headers (not original). When I bought the car, replaced the original exhaust manifolds with exhaust headers to make the car faster. I no longer have the original exhaust manifolds.
Only rust is some on the bottom part of PAX door and spot in the left side of the trunk. Under the car there is normal surface rusting as to be expected for a car of this age. Dry climate has been good to the body of this car but as you can imagine the rubbers all around could use some TLC as well as some of the vinyl interior.
Car runs great. Known issues: The temperature sending unit does not work. You can get this part for about $6 bucks from CJ pony parts. The fuel tank sending unit does not work (measures how much gas you got). You can get this part for about $45 bucks from CJ pony parts.
Since I have owned it, I have never wrecked it, but the rear panel appears to have been dented when I first bought it. The rear bumper was replaced off an exact model/ not original to car. Back PAX quarter panel was hit & run at Walmart, slight denting.
Been sitting in the garage for a decade, fired right up once we replaced a dead battery. FUN to drive. Pick up ONLY no shipping. Depo through paypay, the rest Cash only. Located about an hour east of Denver. Message me if u have more questions. Reserve is set to sell. Pics are straight out of car wash so you may see some water streaks/pooling on the car FYI. Just relisted bc I see ebay autopopulated incorrect info on car, corrected now.
