Car description |

Stealth camp in 1980's Western style! Real wood 3/4" plywood veneer. Not RV tape wood grain particle board. Nice build out. Very original, excellent shape and not a tear in the interior. Florida van owned by a Doctor. Lots of original paperwork. Exterior paint original and fairly straight and rust free. Some dings and dents pictured on passenger side. 12v deep cycle battery spilled acid on drivers side fender. I fixed/painter the lower part. Upper drip rail had some rust bubbles. I re-sealed that. Zero rust underneath van, around bottoms of doors or wheel wells. Virtually 100% rust free. Looks mint in pics and 10' away.
- 351 Windsor 4V HO. (210HP & 330IBS) can get you over a mountain pass and keep you going at modern freeway speeds. (12-14mpg)- C-6 Auto Trans with 9" rear differential.
Within last year/3500miles..Tires. Brakes. Shocks. Exhaust. Steering bushings. Fuel Pump. Batteries (Main & Deep Cycle) Electronic ignition module, coil, pickup coil, wires, spark plugs, cap & rotor. Air filter. Fuel Filter. Carb rebuilt. All fluids changed. Chassis lubes. All new rubber door gaskets, vacuum lines.
Shows 82,582 miles and appears original but cannot verify (5 digit Odo). Seems like it is from the lack of wear on seats and controls though. Runs strong, shifts and drives true. Crank windows. Manuel locks. Duel Fuel tanks (Front tank sometimes doesn't read fuel level. Sending unit or ground). Has Cruise and AC but currently have not gotten them to work. AC compressor turns so think it's in the controls. Horn doesn't work either, so maybe Cruise control also in the steering wheel controls. Period correct aftermarket radio with equalizer works though but CB doesn't. All other gauges and controls work as should.
Camper has 12v/115v fridge and lights. Shore power or 12v deep cycle power. Gas stove top. Gas Forced air furnace. Large propane tank under van. Hand pump with fresh water tank or hose hook up. Porta Potty. Dinette folds down to a nice queen size bed. Storage underneath. Pop top works well. Can stand comfortable in it unless you play in the NBA. Canvass top has one spot that is weak but not a hole yet.
Excellent and fun weekend van...or live in it down by the river! I have used it on 4 day trips with the deep cycle battery fridge and lights going fine. Really draws crowds. Parts don't get anymore common or cheap. Break down in some small town with a bad alternator and the local NAPA will have it for $50. These are cheaper than a VW, don't need the Subaru motor conversions to do proper speeds and parts are cheap and plentiful. All this for less than half the cost of a Westfalia. I have put over 3500 miles on this van sorting it out. Really solid old camper which fits into any 7' garage. I always look for these old campers and have never seen one like this. It has great style and functionality. Join the van lifestyle in style! Fly in, drive it home.
