If you want a GT Mustang fastback that you can drive and not put a ton of money into, then here is the one for you. It gets more attention than cars that are finished, because of the look it has.
Because of other life needs, we are selling our 1966 Mustang GT fastback 289/4 speed with deluxe interior. It's a great looking driver quality Mustang (ten footer paint job). It has the original 8 track tape player in it, 8k rally pack that works (clock does not), center console and a decent deluxe interior. The front seats could be redone and new kick panels bought, but still usable. It has new brakes all around, with new calipers, drums, rotors, wheel cylinders, and master cylinder. There is also a new gas tank and new carburetor. It has a 225 hp engine from a 66 Mustang, but is not the original engine. This engine has about 25k miles on it. The car does have the original 4 speed transmission, that works good with a new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing. It has a new roller bearing rebuild kit in the pedal assembly. There are a few little rust areas, the drivers lower quarter, two small spots on the front of the doors, and a little rust right at the back where the tank mounts (below the filler neck, can't be seen from outside). All these areas can be repaired or just drive AS-IS. That would be my choice if I could keep it.
Almost forgot, correct core support for GT, exhaust hangers in both rear frame rails, correct steering box, fog lights work correctly for GT, and correct Master cylinder.
All vins match.
The GT is being sold AS-IS with no warranty. Clean title in our name.
Please ask all questions prior to bidding and if you need more pictures, please just ask. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder. I will assist with loading.
Thanks and happy bidding.
