This rock solid and full of character "Early Ford Survivor" was originally built in June of 1932 with a retail price of $489.25, although on introduction day, Ford offered them at $450.00 for "One Day Only". There were 148,562 Tudors built but only 37,122 Standard Model "B" Tudors such as this one. Other variations would be a mix of V8 cars along with Deluxe models. "Owners" history notes/text below... "Passed along history, the story goes that this car may have been sold new and/or was built in New Jersey, ended up in Connecticut and then for sure New York State. It was placed in a Museum for many years, then inherited by a Grandson who sold it to the Fella I bought it from, who owned it for 1 year and enjoyed for about 1,000 miles. I have owned it for about 4 1/2 years and sits in my shop, one that is more of a Museum than a workplace. It has just over 30,700 actual miles and resides alongside 4 other 1932 Ford's, 2 other collectable cars and plenty of Deuce memorabilia/parts. Every vehicle in my collection is driven regularly except this "B" Tudor, I feel it's best to keep the miles low and further preserve it's youth. I don't know where you would pick-up the phone and purchase a 30,000 mile original 1932 Ford today, some 86 years later, "This car is a "True Survivor"... This old 32 fires right up with the pull of the start cable, after a little warm up, purrs down the road as a new one would. There is little gear noise, quiet exhaust and no baggage with respect to the steering, braking etc.... The car has a genuine rare optional metal rear tire cover over the spare including a factory lock strap at the bottom, with the factory key to unlock it. It also has both engine splash pans, which are often missing. The motor has a very rare factory correct motor silencer on the carburetor and the rear window still has its factory installed window shade, which are almost always missing... The car is fully serviced with respect to special oils for the engine, transmission and rear axle. Brakes have just been adjusted by the book, they are the mechanical type and require sequential settings and the shocks have been replaced with genuine "original" working units.
