For sale is a 1971 Bronco Sport, 302 V8 engine, three speed on the column. History behind this one family owned Bronco; this Bronco was bought brand new in Bedford, PA at a Ford dealership, the bronco was passed onto other family members approximately 14-15 years ago, the entire Bronco was intact, not abuse, in really great shape except for the rust that started in the typical places on the tub. It was decided to restore the Bronco, but with a life lasting body tub, a new fiberglass customer fit tub was purchased, the existing tub was removed, entire frame and all components was cleaned, inspected and ready for assembly. The new tub was installed on the frame, the original doors, hood, front end, top and all original interior parts and dash was in excellent condition, there was no need to replace any of these items. During the assemble, a new painless wiring harness was installed along with a new gas tank. The new tub is factory reinforced with 1/4" and 1/8" Steel in critical areas such as the tailgate post, door striker and hinge post, windshield frame and hood mounting locations. This is a high quality tub that far exceeds sandblasting and repairing a steel tub that will eventually show rust and or small paint bubbling 10-15 years later. The fact is, when sandblasting, in many places which you cannot sand blast out, means that no matter how good of a job you do you will probably leave rust behind in-between thebody-rustbehind panels.Bottom line is - the first and best feature of a Glass Body is, very durable and NO MORE RUST!Another long lasting upgrade that was done was the steel window frame hinge, a new stainless steel hinge was installed. The new body mounts also included all rust free hardware. Here we are 14-15 years later, absolutely NO RUST, Today, the body is in the same condition as it was when it was restored. As for the 302 engine, it's original to the vehicle and was completely gone over before engine was installed with a new clutch. All new brake lines were installed, everything still looks brand new. The Bronco has over 12,000 miles since it was restored and still appears to be a restoration that was done in the last few months. The paint is in excellent condition,a few minor nickswith the paintand where you get typical wear marks on rocker where the paint is rubbed from shoes entering and exiting and you get the typical wear marks, and a little wear on the paint where debris comes off the tires and puts small marks on the quarter panels, the only way to avoid any paint flaws is to "not drive itâ€, but this Bronco was driven, and it's amazing and it looks like it was recently restored. I did not purchase anytouch-uppaint to correct the areas as I wanted the new owner to see and not puttouch-uppaint over these few small areas. The paint work and color combination that was done was professional done and still looks amazing. There is 2" suspension lift and shocks installed, and a matching steering stabilizer upgrade. Vehicle is equipped with dual exhaust that is in excellent shape with no exhaust leaks.
The quality of the build was put into this unit years ago, no short cuts taken. The engine, transmission, clutch, 4 wheel drive unit, brakes, lights, radio and stereo, wipers, heater, horn, dash lights, all work great. The original owners manual remains in the glove box. The engine compartment is clean, not doctored up for any photos, what you see is the way its been taken care of. The engine runs very smooth, carburetor is set perfect for cold starts and warm starts. Emergency brake works great. All the glass is in excellent condition as well. Tailgate and raise rear hatch gate opens and shuts great. Interior seats, both front and back are in excellent condition, just a little wear on driver seat on bottom corner, but not in bad condition. The Bronco is a Sport model, as you can see the chrome package around the front, rear and side glass and trim on sides in excellent condition, I think one small dent or scratch is located on one of the moldings. The front grill, head light bezels, rear lights, side marker lights are in excellent condition. The door hinges, exterior mirrors, bumpers, all in excellent condition. Original doors were reinstalled with rust free hardware as well. Wheels are in excellent like new condition. Tires are in great condition, but are not new, but will be good for approximately another 20,000 miles. I'm not sure what kind of top coating they put under the body for protection, but it still looks brand new. And....Did I mention that it is RUST FREE.............
