I bought this car from an old school hot rodder in Ft Smith Arkansas. I met him years ago while down south hunting cars. Since I've bought 3 of his cars including this one. He drives his cars. Is it a $100,000 trailer queen? No. Is it a great looking hot rod that you can get in, turn key and go wherever you want? Yes. EXTERIOR: Rust free real Henry Ford steel body to start with. The body was from... New Mexico, then it sat in the front window of an auto shop for over 20 years! It has been chopped 2 inches, roof is filled with ribbed metal and gas filler is relocated. Still has fold out windshield, door and trunk handles. The fiberglass rear fenders were cut down. The black paint is glossy, has some touch ups. Old school style hand pinstriped. Has artillery style wheels painted and pinstriped. 15x10 inch in back, 15x5 in front. Speed rated whitewall tires. It also features a 32 grill, some cool headlights and taillights. INTERIOR: Comfortable, I'm 6 ft and felt good driving the car. Has sport bucket seats, inside of the cab is upholstered gray. Has 1932 dash with a matched set of gauges. Has turnsignal and highbeam indicators. Tachometer mounted traditional hot rod style. B&M floor shifter has tall handle. The tilt column has a polished wood Grant wheel. I like the original style window cranks, handles and beveled mirror. Has an electric wiper and a 12 volt receptacle under the dash. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 383 stroker makes 475 hp. Way more then this little car needs, it's a hot rod! The motor rumbles out the header pipes. It is very snappy, punch it and the car wants to leap. The motor is decked out. Has a chrome Edelbrock intake with a big dual feed Holley carb, aluminum heads and water pump. The valve covers and air scoop are finned aluminum. Has chrome alternator, serpentine belt and pulleys. Other upgrades include custom fuel lines with pressure gauge and electric pump. Has a Mallory ignition system, chrome coil, mini high torque starter. New Walker radiator, stainless upper radiator hose and a polished overflow. Chromed master cylinder. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Simple, carpeted compartment. Battery is located in trunk. UNDERSIDE: Has a custom boxed frame with extended front end. Look where the front wheels sit way out in front. This really improves the ride. All chrome TCI front end- the drop axle, spring, shocks, trailing arms, brake covers. Has Wilwood 4 piston disc brakes. In back it has 4 link suspension with coil over shocks. Currie Ford 9 inch rear with 3.25 posi gear. If you want memory seats and cruise control buy a new Buick. If you enjoy polishing your car more then driving it, buy a trailer queen. If you want the old school feeling of a true hot rod buy this car. Its loud, fast and all around cool!
