Rare Find- 1966 Ford Galaxie 500 7Litre 4 speed Manual Top loader & 9 inch rear end. This beast had a older restoration in 1995 that still shows nice. Rust free car with clean rust free undercarriage. There were some patches fixed while the car was restored. Power steering Power brakes. Factory Air Conditioning. Number match 428 Big Block Q code car. These cars are getting harder and harder to find. Nice clean interior with red plush interior. This is a project car that needs exhaust and a few odds and ends to finish. Runs strong and shifts nice through all the gears. Car is located in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. It was Ford number 34110 built at the Chicago, Illinois assembly plant during the 1966 model year (first VIN was 100001). As built, the engine was a 428-4V Thunderbird 7-Litre V-8 (345 hp@4600 rpm, 462 ft-lbs@2800 rpm, 10.5:1 compression ratio), backed by the Toploader 4-speed manual transmission with console shift, and driving through a 3.25:1 non-locking differential. It was finished with the Emberglo exterior color, now Black, and the interior trim was bucket seats with dark emberglo "Rosette" pattern vinyl vertical cushion strip and medium emberglo "Crinkle" pattern vinyl cushions and bolsters. Now Red. It had a scheduled build date of November 3, 1965, and the order was processed through the Memphis, Tennessee district sales office, which covered Arkansas, western Tennessee and northern Mississippi. |
