HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A FRESHLY RESTORED/RECONDITIONED BRONCO AT A REASONABLE PRICE! If you've been looking at Broncos then you know trucks in this condition sell for a lot more than what I'm starting the bidding at. This is a true NO RESERVE auction. This Bronco is ready to enjoy now (no additional investment required) or this could just be your starting point depending on what you have in mind. HERE'S SOME HISTORY & INFO ON THE TRUCK: Truck spent its life in Seguin, Texas until a year ago when bought it from an ole timer and had it shipped up to me in Summerville SC to restore and sell. I got it in good mechanical shape and no rust to deal with so what I've done to it is actually more "reconditioning" than restoring. Only evidence of ever having rust is in the front floor pans which were repaired by the previous owner. There's a couple spots under the hood on the inner fenders that I treated and coated but other than that this is as "rust free" as it gets for an original truck. Here's an overview of what I've done: · Started by folding the windshield down to inspect and recondition under the hinge. Looked good but I made sure it's going to stay that way (see photo). · Repainted dash and interior · Installed factory front cab mat. ·Installed new Dash Pad cover ·Replaced rear seat cushions and upholstery. New front seat covers. ·Installed new Sony Stereo/CD Player and Retrosound dash speaker. Stereo has USB & Audio inputs. Speaker is dual cone, like 2 speakers in 1. · New Bestop bikini top installed · New Rampage roll cage padding. Zips on & off. · New seat belts front & back · New Rampage front console · Installed new transfer case shifter boot & knob. · New Door straps and hardware · Spent lots of time under the hood, mostly cosmetic improvements but I have installed new plug wires, plugs, distributer cap, rotor, air filter, changed the oil and filter. Radiator overflow tank and bottle jack is new. · Then the no fun work and most time consuming part was the undercarriage. I cleaned, scraped, wire brushed and sanded everywhere I could get to before repainting. It was in good shape, so my objective was to make sure it stays that way for a long time. · I coated the frame with POR 15 after I prepped it (scrape, sand, etc) then top coated. If you're not familiar with POR 15 - look it up, this stuff will protect it from ever rusting. Keep in mind this was done "frame on" so I couldn't get everywhere but there was no rust anywhere on the frame to start with. · Installed new shocks and coil springs · Installed new steering stabilizer · Replaced U Joint on front drive shaft · Installed new bumpers Here's what I see that was done recently before I got it: · Interior coated it what looks to be Line-X. This was done professionally, not a rattle can job. I repainted it with a fresh coat of black. · Roll Cage installed. · Front floor pans repaired. More of a patch over than cut out replace. · New Fuel tank, lines, pump and sending unit installed. · Much of the original wiring has been replaced. · Emergency brake cables replaced. Fr Front seats replaced with Baja style seats. So to summarize there's been a lot $ and labor invested in this Bronco to get it where it is today. I purposely avoided changing things I know are personal choices the next owner should make; like the top*... some people want just a bikini top, some like the classic hard top (some hate it), some like full soft tops but which one and which color...white or black?? I would replace the 2 barrel carb, it's time but a lot of people are doing EFI now, some like the stockish 2 barrel and some want 4 barrel. Also along with that is exhaust, a set of headers and new exhaust would be a good upgrade but it'd be louder then and not everyone likes that. *If you want me to install a Rampage soft top (white or black), I will do it for $300 plus cost of the top ($585 at Wild Horses). These tops are "convertible" with zip off sides and back. Tinted windows. Drivability is what you'd expect with a stock setup. Starts up everytime no problem, runs good, shifts smooth, steers & stops like a 73' truck with drum brakes w/o power steering. 4WD works, I just replaced a cracked U joint on the transfer case drive shaft. Wheels spin easy and no side to side play so seems like the bearings and bushings are all in good shape. Motor sounds good and smooth, no ticking, no smoke. I have a picture of what the top of the engine looks like from when I had the valve covers off, I can send to you if you want. Looks clean, no build up anywhere. The paint is not as good up close as it looks in the pictures. Looks like whoever did it decided to take it down to the bare metal because at the right angle you can still see what looks to me like sandpaper marks from an orbital sander in some areas, especially the hood. I've only found a couple spots that look like filler was used, one is a 6" spot on the hood and the other is back on the upper left rear quarter. It all looks good from 10' away, just things you notice more as an owner. Interior is pretty much weather proof, I've always kept in the garage but if you got caught in the rain with just the bikini top there's nothing to be concerned about. If you want heat you will likely need to replace the heater core, it was disconnected from the coolant system when I got it so I assume that's because there's a leak but I haven't spent time to find out since these heaters don't do much anyway. Has valid current TX state inspection and no reason it won't pass inspection again. Clear SC Title in hand, in my name. Actual Mileage is unknown, what's listed is whats on the odometer now. I'm glad to help you find a good reliable transporter at the best price if you're high bidder and need it shipped. I WILL CONSIDER "Buy It Now" OFFERS to end the auction but you will need to be the high bidder and sale will still be processed thru eBay. That's all I can think of....
