Car description

This 1968 Ford F100 Ranger Long Bed Pickup Truck is in amazing condition. It is loaded, rust free, never wrecked, rare and complete. It shows little sign of wear anywhere and yes this is the original color in Peacock blue. This is an original Oregon Ranger with factory 390 V8 4BBL, C6 automatic transmission, posi traction differential, air, disc brakes, power steering and AM radio. The trim on this truck is original, which is amazing!
Original mileage on this truck is only 81,000 miles. It is a rare F100 Ranger factory 390 V8, C6 automatic transmission, long bed pick up truck that is LOW MILES, RUST FREE, AND NEVER WRECKED.
I spent two years trying to buy it from the second owner until I was successful, I am the third owner. Since it is from the Willamette Valley in Oregon where it seldom snows it is rust free, there is no sign of rust anywhere. Even better it has never been in an accident, it is straight as an arrow on all four corners and sides, I have found no evidence of collision damage or bodywork. The paint is 99.999% without any dings scratches or blisters. The bed looks near new, the bed floor ridges are straight, flat and without sagging rust, dips or valleys.
This truck has been my daily driver for the past year. I am a custom build restoration shop owner, one of the largest in the country, we only do #1 quality builds and restorations so I know a good vehicle when I see it, and I can attest that this is as straight and true as any fifty year old vehicle I have ever seen. I am very familiar with classic cars and trucks and know where to look for problems. The body, frame, chassis, tailgate, and bed are all problem free.
While it has received one recent repaint the truck has not been restored. IT DIDN'T NEED IT! However, I have done a lot of updates to improve drivability including Lowering I-beam front (3") lowered 4" in the rear. Rebuilt motor, transmission, exhaust, new classic 20" x 7" American mags, new Toyo Proxes ST 275/40R 20 tires, headers, polished aluminum tool box, spray in bed liner, tilt steering column out of a '68 T-bird, woodgrain steering wheel, LED headlights, updated interior (still have the original bench), Highliner Cycle Sound headliner with four 4" speakers, Alpine stereo installed, base box with built in amplifier behind the bench, new carpeting, new dash pad, new visors, new bumpers F&R, removed interior gas tank - replaced with dual 25 gallon built in bed tanks, new rearview mirrors, intermittent wipers added from '76 Ford truck. All these updates combine to make a very nice comfortable truck to drive. I have probably added other stuff that I have forgotten about.
It drives nice and is reliable everyday transportation. It looks fantastic, I get complements everywhere I go. It gets a tremendous amount of attention. Most people have never seen one in good condition since most Ford trucks of this era were worked hard and used for work. This one wasn't, it has been used easy, stored indoors, and babied.
The truck isn't perfect, it isn't a show vehicle but it is exceptionally straight and easily passes for a complete ground up restoration. I've used it for the past year as a daily driver. It has a few bugs, the original AM radio doesn't work, the air conditioning while complete and original doesn't work, it needs to be updated. Also the speedo housing occasionally clicks, the sound is not loud and is intermittent, the speedo works fine though. The tilt column out of a '68 Thunderbird is supposed to tilt sideways as well as up and down. It works up and down as it should but not sideways. The engine compartment needs to be cleaned, I drive it. :)
I am not interested in a trade and I will not entertain low offers. Please don't ask me for other pictures, its a waste of time, the pictures I have posted here are high resolution, and undercarriage looks great. If you don't think its worth what I am asking please feel free to look elsewhere. The truck is located in Arlington WA zip code 98223, approximately 45 miles north of Seattle. Thanks for looking!
