1967 FORD MUSTANG GT FASTBACK
PROJECT 7F02A203xxx
from
MustangBeginnings
If you have ever wanted a 67 GT Mustang Fastback project that was affordable, This is the car! This is an original V-8, 289 "A" code car, with 5 lug suspension both front and rear. The original build date was May 22, 1967, three days behind schedule. It comes with the correct code dated engine, code 6J15.
The original color was Candy Apple Red, which is one of the greatest Mustang colors of all time. Originally equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission and 3.0 Equa-Loc differential this car could spin its tires with ease.
It brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and Ford's strategy worked—selling more Mustangs than ever before.
When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $80,000 or more.
BODY:
The frame of this fastback will need some work. As you can see from the pictures, the car will need new aprons on the passenger side, and the frame will need rust repair as well. Dynacorn now makes any part you will need, and can sell the parts prewelded to make the job a lot easier. The roof also has a couple of holes that will need patching, or if you prefer a new roof skin. Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for a concourse restoration.
INTERIOR:
The interior will need a little work, but it is really the easiest part of the restoration. The car came with bucket seats in the front and standard rear seat. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren't accepting someone else's mistakes or bad repairs.
All the wiring, instrument panel, seats, etc. will come with the car but will need to be restored.
Both front buckets seats are included. We can include the door panels and dash pad if you want, but you will probably want new ones if you are going for concourse condition.
ENGINE BAY:
Engine bay is in great condition. The original 289 rotates, but will need to be rebuilt. Since it doesn't have a transmission currently, you might want to consider upgrading to a T-5 transmission which will fit nicely behind the 289 with a one inch spacer plate.
BRAKE SYSTEM:
The mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can add those for $1,000.
GLASS:
The fastback will need a new windshield. We are a Scott Drake dealer, so please contact us for pricing on the glass.
TITLE
The car comes with a clear title, and we will provide you with a Bill of Sale as well. We purchased the car from a private seller many years ago, and never got around to getting the car registered in our name.
MISC.
We have used head light buckets, but the tabs are broken, so again contact us for pricing new buckets. The Mustang comes with seats, and most all of its parts. I have a couple of contacts for all the other NOS stuff you may need
At MustangBeginnings we are here to help you make your restoration a success. Please ask any questions so that we can help you have a successful restoration.
I HAVE 100% POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND PLAN TO KEEP IT THAT WAY! THERE ARE NO SURPRISES HERE, I ENCOURAGE ALL THOSE WHO BID TO COME SEE THE CAR FIRST IF POSSIBLE OR SEND SOMEONE HERE TO INSPECT IT. WE HAVE COMPLETED OTHER 67 MUSTANGS AND KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO COMPLETE THIS CAR. THIS IS A GOOD CAR TO START WITH. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A 67 MUSTANG THAT NEEDS TO BE REBUILT INTO SOMETHING SPECIAL.
AGAIN, I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL BIDDERS TO CHECK THE CAR OUT IF POSSIBLE THAT WAY THERE ARE NO MISUNDERSTANDING, MISTAKES, MISCOMMUNICATION, AND ALL THE OTHER MISES.
THE CAR MIGHT NEED THINGS I DID NOT LIST BUT THE MAJOR ONES HAVE BEEN LISTED. I PUT THE WORD PROJECT IN THE DESCRIPTION TO COVER ANYTHINGS I MIGHT HAVE NOT SEEN. I HAVE THE CAR FOR SALE LOCALLY AND RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION EARLY.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE CONTACT US ABOUT THIS MUSTAND WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE.
