I have an extremely nice, unrestored, unmolested example of a 1969 Ford Thunderbird for sale. I recently purchased this car from the original owner who meticulously cared for it. I have the original "green title" issued in January of 1969 in hand. This car has been garage kept since 1969 and it definitely shows. Most of the weatherstripping is still soft, which is unreal for a 50 year old car. The vinyl top is flawless and all of the chrome is in exceptional condition. The rear seatbelts are STILL IN THE PLASTIC. The paint still shines up great, but it does have a few flaws here and there. 95% of the paint is original. There was a small parking lot bump-up over 30 years ago that required a small portion of the driver's front fender to be blended in, but other than that the original owner couldn't think of any other paint work that has been done and I cannot find any other areas either. The body is extremely straight! All of the panel gaps are exceptional. All door jambs are clean enough to eat off of. 429 Thunderjet 4v engine, automatic transmission, Air conditioning, power steering, power brakes. Rare bench seat. The odometer shows 25,000 miles, and I would've believed those to be the actual miles but I was told that it had actually rolled over, making it 125,000 miles. All lights work, even the trunk light. The headlight vacuum pumps do not work, but the covers fold up and down without issue. The fuel gauge also does not work properly, but it comes with a full tank of gas. The air conditioning works, but could use a recharge. I have over $3300 in recent repairs and maintenance receipts in hand. The repairs include cleaned and re-lined fuel tank, new fuel pickup tube, fuel pump, points, distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs, brake shoes, brake pads, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, all brake hoses, radiator hoses, heater hoses, belts, Interstate battery, water pump, wiper blades, mufflers, rebuilt carburetor, re cored radiator, and 4 new tires. The car runs and drives great. You can't even hear it run! I would rate this car a 9/10, and I believe it is in the top 10% of all 50 year old cars, restored or unrestored. You truly have to see this car to appreciate it. I welcome any interested parties to come and inspect the car before making an offer. This is not a brand new car so there are some small flaws here and there, but for being 50 years old it is as close to a brand new car as you will find.
