Car description |

Over $50,000 was spent in the build of this beautiful 58 Ford Ranch Wagon. Construction started with a rust free California car, and progressed from there. Beautiful white pearl paint was applied to the top, complemented by medium blue metallic to the lower portion of the body. All paint work has been wet sanded and buffed to a high luster. Chrome side trim was added, but installed with adhesive for easy removal if none is preferred. No holes were drilled in the body panels. Dyna Mat was installed under the new carpet, and a new 3 tone interior completes the look. An insulated headliner and custom insulated door, rear, and side panels keep things quiet inside. Steering is aided by a Flaming River tilt column and billet wheel. Vintage Air keeps everyone cool!
Power is supplied by a 351 Windsor which was treated to an extensive rebuild. An Elgin cam, Holley carb on an Edelbrock intake, MSD 6A and pro billet distributor, billet pulleys and Sanderson ceramic coated headers with full dual exhaust provide plenty of smooth, reliable power. An aluminum radiator, dual electric fans, and trans cooler assure no overheating issues. The alternator is a single wire 100 amp unit.
Power is transmitted via a rebuilt AOD E with Lentech valve body and kit, and a B & M Hole Shot 2,500 RPM stall converter. Rear end is a Ford 9" with 3:23 gears.
Suspension Performance shocks, springs, sway bar and 11" front discs with booster provide a mean, low stance and much improved handling. New 17" Torque Thrust 2 wheels and new tires also improve appearance and handling.
Creature comforts include a Sirius ready hidden custom sound sysytem with 10 disc CD changer, wireless remote, amp, 3 way Polk audio front speakers, and dual powered subs.
Power steering and brakes, and 2 speed electric wipers were added to make driving a pleasure.
Smooth, reliable power, great handling, and beautiful appearance make this rare old Ranch Wagon a real head turner.
