VIN# 5F08C73688365,462 original miles289 cubic inch V83-speed C4 Automatic TransmissionPower SteeringPower Convertible TopNo Factory Air ConditioningNew dual exhaust with correct "H" pipe specifications.New master cylinder, brakes and brake lines (front and rear).Suspension components upgraded to poly as needed.
Everything works inside and out. (lights, radio, heat etc)
"Gorgeousâ€...â€Stunningâ€...â€I can't believe it's in such great shape!" Hearing those statements will never get old. As such, this car doesn't seem to get old either.I've driven and enjoyed this beauty for my entire adult life. The car was purchased new in August 1965 by my Aunt and then sold to my Father in the early 70's. I took ownership in 2006 after begging for years to have it.This car runs and drives great. It is the perfect car for cruising around town or to just show it off. (Full disclosure: I will admit I have a deep & meaningful sentiment given its history. But it is time to begin a new but similar tradition with my kids.)
This Mustang is not restored and has been garage kept its entire life.
It has the original "C code" 289ci V8 engine with 3-speed automatic trans. Over the years it was upgraded when deemed necessary, (cost effectiveness & drivability being paramount) with an aluminum dual plane intake with a 500cfm Edelbrock carburetor. Starts right up and settles into a smooth idle within seconds.
Suspension components were replaced as needed during the course of normal maintenance.
The car maintains its original drum brake system but all components have been replaced including factory correct brake line routing at the rear axle to accommodate dual exhaust. The exhaust was upgraded to dual after the original needed replacement.
The white convertible top is original and works as it should.
The body and paint are in terrific shape. There is some superficial rust spots but no penetration. All body panels and floor pans are original And have no issues.
There are a few chips in the paint as to be expected. It was repainted once in the late 1980's in its original color. The interior exhibits some light wear and tear as one should expect but is original.
This is a great car to jump in and take a nice weekend drive with.
Title is free and clear.
Included with the sale are the original owners manual, original sales invoice, as well as some spare parts and accessories.
