1955 Ford Fairlane*No ReserveAuction*
This car is a super cool "no-frills" 60's style Hot Rod. It has it's fair share of flaws with some faded paint, scratches, scrapes, dings, a few cracks in the windshield and a bit of rust underneath. So if you're looking for a show car, this ain't it. But...if you're looking for a killer Hot Rod to have fun with, take to cruise-ins and burn up the back roads, then read on.
The engine is a Ford FE big block. The previous owner thought is was a 390 but he wasn't sure. I ran every casting number I could find on the engine and discovered it has Super Cobra Jet intake, heads and exhaust manifolds. So the engine could be a 428, but you cannot tell without taking it apart. The interior is in decent shape but is missing a headliner and the carpet is a bit faded. All the exterior lights work and most of the dash lights work. The emergency brake works great, but the horn, wipers and speedometer do not work. The heater box, heater core and the controls are all still in place but the blower motor under the hood is missing. The water temp and oil pressure gauges work great but the volt gauge doesn't work. The alternator charges fine, but the gauge doesn't work. All the windows roll up and as they should, and the glass is in pretty good shape other than a few cracks and chips on the windshield. The door locks work and I recently replaced the trunk lock mechanism. The body is overall very solid with only a few rust bubbles mostly along the bottom ofthetrunk. The chrome and stainless are all in pretty good shape and shine up nicely. The stainless has a fews dings but nothing too bad. The under side of the car does have some rust, mainly on the body braces and inner rockers but the floor pans are mostly solid. The frame is absolutely solid and shows no signs of ever having been in a collision. Also, thebody filler around the hood scoop is cracked.
The car looks killer, runs and drives great, goes down the road straight and hasn't ever left me stranded. It has a clean KY title and below are some more details.Feel free to message me on here with any questions you may have or call me at 785-550-2707. I've sold several classic cars on ebay and can provide references of past buyers who will confirm my ads are honest and the cars are as I claim. I am willing to sell anywhere in the world and will do my best help coordinate shipping. All shipping costs will be at buyersexpense.
