First time offered for sale in 15 years! Beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback in stunning Omaha Orange. I have owned this car 15 years and never planned to sell however I have acquired quite a few toys over the years and now is the time to thin the herd so I can focus on my newest project.
On to the details.......
In the Fall of 2017 I had this Mustang completely stripped down from the rockers up and repainted by a very reputable body shop. The car has been driven less than 200 miles since the repaint. I showed this car in the local World of Wheels car show last year and won the class and also took an award for outstanding paint. The interior also received a complete refresh with new carpet, custom upholstery and one piece molded headliner. Before installing any of these parts the entire floor and inner door shells were lined with Hush Mat sound deadening to eliminate as much road noise as possible. Brand new window regulators were installed and both windows roll up and down with ease. The doors open and close and line up beautifully. I installed a hidden radio receiver that is connected to a 6 Disc changer in the trunk. There are speakers in both front kick panels and also in the trap door.
This Mustang is powered by a highly built Roller Cam 347 stroker bored .30 over. The block was purchased from Ford Strokers. Top notch parts were used in this build including Mahle pistons, Scat forged rods and cranks, custom grind camshaft with nice lopey muscle car sound, Edelbrock Victor Jr aluminum cylinder heads, Edelbrock RPM air gap intake, 750 cfm Holley carburetor, ceramic coated long tube headers, MSD Pro Billet Distributor, high flow oil pump and 7 quart Moroso oil pan. The valve covers and air cleaner are painted body color and airbrushed with true fire flames. Under the hood is also an aluminum radiator which cools this car very efficiently. I have driven this car on 100 degree days in traffic and it has never gotten hot. A Tremec T5 5 Speed manual transmission was installed with hydraulic clutch, Steeda short throw shifter, Hurst handle and knob. This enables cruising at highway or interstate speeds at low rpms. This Mustang is stopped by manual front disc brakes with slotted and drilled rotors. It has a Quicks Performance 9" read end with 31 spline axles and a 3.50 rear end gear ratio. A flaming River quick ratio manual gear box was installed which greatly increases steering tightness and handling.
This Mustang has dual exhaust that exists beneath the rear valance with stainless tips. The rearend is painted body color and has the running Mustang logo air brushed on the backside. Subframe connectors and traction bars have been welded in place to stiffen the chassis and eliminate body roll.
The trunk compartment is completely finished with black carpet. This Mustang has a fold down rear seat.
This Mustang rides on 15" American Racing PVD Chrome wheels with BF Goodrich T/A tires in 255/60R15 on the rear and 235/60R15 on the front.
