1971 Ford Mexican Mustang GT351
Up for sale is a very unique mustang! This car your viewing is a 1971 Ford Mustang Convertible built in the Ford Mexico plant. As I have learned more about this car is is pretty rare, it started life as a 1971 coupe GT351, some articles hint toward it being involved with Shelby De Mexico, only 200 built. This is a unique part of Ford history and deserves to be saved! This car has suppprting components to prove its a true GT351, vin tag by windshield is blank, Speedo is in kilometers, hurst 4-speed toploader, flip down gas cap. Correct stamping!Mexican vin number/serial number Please do your own research there is some out there, these are real cars!!
Overall this car is in fair shape, the body of this car is in need of some help for sure. It has rust in some of the usual mustang areas such as floor pans, trunk pan etc. good part is the frame is in good shape! I believe the car to be original wimbledon white with black stripe along bottom, with black top and Ford hubcaps like seen! Convertible top frame is in good shape. Could be made back into a coupe with donor car.
The drivetrain is a really neat part of the car, as I've done research on the car I believe it to be a 351 4-barrel car backed with a 4-speed Manuel trans with hurst shifter and a 9 inch rearend. Engine is non running at the moment. It is the original Echo in Mexico drivetrain! Pretty neat!
Overall this mustang is pretty unique and I think it could make a great piece to a collection. Needs a fair amount of work but I feel it's worth restoring! Please message me with any questions! Glad to help! Happy bidding, thanks for viewing!!Willing to work with any and all offers!! Shoot me your offerThanks!

Hello, ****Correction to be made to the Listing, I've learned quite a bit of knowledge about the car since posting it, what your actually viewing is a 1971 Ford Mustang coupe(only body style produced in Mexico in 71) this coupe has been converted into a convertible unfortunately, now this is a pretty rare coupe, it's a GT 351 with the 4-barrel Windsor and 4-speed toploader trans to best of my knowledge that is what this car was born with. Unfortunately been modified, but I still think it's worth saving
