1984 mustang gt350 20th anniversary. I bought this car about 6 years ago out of Nebraska. It was completely stock 5.0, 5 speed car. it had around 70k miles on it. I left it alone for a while, but it was really boring. So i changed it around, ALOT. I threw gobs of $ at this car. I'll try to list everything,
engine: A-4 Ford motorsport 4 bolt race block, arp 1/2" main studs and head studs. eagle 4340 steel crank, eagle h beam rods and Icon 2618 pistons. melling select oil pump, double roller timing chain. Moroso 7 qt oil pan. The engine was last freshened up with rings and bearings in 2016.
Heads are Trick flow aluminum high ports. the chambers are cnc and the ports are as cast, unported. We changed the valvesprings to hi-rev anderson springs, 10 degree locks and retainers. the rocker arms are harland sharp head specific rocker arms made for the high port head. the camshaft is a ron anderson b-451 hydraulic roller with ford racing high rev lifters.
intake is a ford motorsport vic jr style single plane. I had it converted to fuel injection by Jakes performance in KC. He did the injector bungs and huge fuel rails. Intake is not ported. it is topped with a billet 1" spacer and a modified edelbrock elbow. the elbow was nicely modified to use a factory 87 up throttle cable. The throttle body is a accufab 75mm.
induction is supplied by a Vortech SI trim V-1 blower. blower was redone by vortech in 2016 with new seals and bearings and Si impeller upgrade. it is straight cut gear and nice and noisy! it has a vortech maxflow blow off valve.It has a 3.0 pulley and 6.8 lower pulley. 8 rib. Makes about 13 lbs of boost. motor spins to about 6900 rpm.
engine management is done through a Holley hp Efi. Ford Tfi distriibutor, 80 lb injectors. It has been a great system, very easy to make changes to the tune. msd ignition box.
Transmission is a 6 speed Viper gearbox from a 2006 Viper srt10. Quicktime sfi bellhousing, aluminum flywheel, ram clutch, steeda shifter,,driveshaft loop and a aluminum driveshaft done by dynatech.
Radiator is a griffin aluminum with a stainless hold down. modified Iron impeller stewart water pump.
Fuel system is all aeroquip -8an supply and return. aeromotive regulator, braided lines under hood, stock tank with a 255 in it..I have a aeromotive 340 for it too. trickflow fuel filter.
Exhaust system is Bassani shorty step headers modified to 3 inch v band collector. 3 inch pipes to mufflers then 2.5 inch tailpipes. Flowmaster mufflers.
8.8 Rear end is done up with 9" axle ends, 33 spline strange axles, strange/eaton posi unit, 410 gears, aluminum gridle, and carrier studs. Control arms are HP Motorsport adjustable heim end lowers with hp fixed uppers, poly bushings in rear end for upper control arms. full length subframe connectors.
front suspension is coil over from strange 12 inch hypercoil springs, lakewood struts and maximum motorsports caster camber plates. Stock k member with new poly bushings in a arms.
This is a nice car, not perfect, but by no means beat up. It is a blast to drive and gets about 16 mpg on the highway with the a/c on. It will burn out pretty much as far as you want. The outside of the car is stock other then the 84 ford mustang gt 350 turbo scoop on it. The weld wheels are 5 lug. Skinnies in the front 15x8 in the back. Mickey thompson drag radials. I hate to let it go but sh*t happens. Its a good car, full of goodies, I have FAR more in it then the buy it now. I am located near Des Moines Iowa. Cash only, No trades, No checks.
