This is a NO RESERVE Auction!
This is relisted due to issue with previous sale.
Bidder failed to buy the vehicle after he stated I made no false representations, the vehicle ran and drove beautifully, and was in great condition for a 25 year old car. He said it was a really good value. He said there was more rust than he expected... really?
Yes there is rust as seen in the pictures and one small hole in the right dogleg inside the door. There is rust on the underside as you would expect on a 25 year old car but the floor boards are solid.
I am selling this 2nd Generation Taurus for my father who has no further need of two vehicles. He bought it off lease in 1995 or 1996 and babied this car. Several years ago he needed to park it outside but still maintained it. He always referred to this as his "sleeper" car due to the high HP and torque. Notice the tan seats with custom green piping! The decision to sell this vehicle has taken over 2 years of debate because he loves it so much. See in the pictures the care taken from the body, tires, and interior. My father spared no expense on maintaining this vehicle. Using a local shop, they installed many new parts. This vehicle runs and drives but has some issues he no longer wants to invest back into the vehicle.
List of Known Issues:
We will not consider any outside of eBay sales or a lower starting price. This is only being offered on eBay.
Please ask any questions that are not answered in this posting. The vehicle is sold as where is. (Milwaukee County, WI - South)
(From Wikipedia) The SHO was redesigned for 1992, although it continued with the same powertrain as before: The Yamaha Built V-6 engine and 5-speed manual transmission. The second generation SHO borrowed from the Mercury Sable's front fenders, hood, and headlights, but used a different bumper, fog lamps, and no middle light bar. The SHO also got unique seats, side cladding, dual exhaust, as well as a unique rear bumper. 1992 models can be visually identified by not containing a rear trunk lid spoiler, having down-turned exhaust tips, and only a driver's side airbag (later models have both driver's and passenger airbags). For the 1993 model year, the rear brakes on the SHO were converted to solid discs, replacing the vented discs of almost identical dimensions that were used in the 1989-1992 model years.
The lack of an automatic transmission had hurt sales, which was a situation that Ford rectified for MY 1993 . A 3.2 L version of the Ford SHO V6 engine was introduced for the automatic-equipped SHO, which still had 220 hp (164 kW), but now boasted 215 lbâ‹…ft (292 Nâ‹…m), a 15 lbâ‹…ft (20 Nâ‹…m) increase over the 3.0 L version.[13] It was later discovered by enthusiasts that Ford had put a less aggressive intake cam in the 3.2L motor to maintain the same horsepower rating as the 3.0L, while still having more torque. The 1993 to 1995 automatics use the AX4S (previously named AXOD-E) transmission

List of Known Issues:
- A/C needs compressor/lines
- ABS light is on
- Radio works but cassette is inop
- Sunroof does not open/close (does not leak!)
- Vehicle runs and drives for shorter distances as the battery does not seem to recharge. He needs to jump it every once and a while and put a charger on it to get it to full charge
