Car description |
---|
If you would like to own a super nice driver, that you will not see but once in a blue moon, and gets more attention then any car we have ever owned, this is the one.
Even Chevy and Dodge enthusiast will let us know they are not into Fords, but this one is different, and have nothing but nice things to say about this low production Torino GT Convertible. You will not see many of these around because Ford only built 3,939 Torino GT Convertibles in 1970.
In 1994 a frame-up restoration was completed. When the car was being restored the owner decided to change the exterior color from Bright Gold Metallic to Grabber Blue with Laser Stripes. The interior was changed from White Turin Knit to all Black. The Cruise-O-Matic transmission was changed to a 4-speed Toploader. (just rebuilt and new shift linkage)
There are over 20 factory options including Factory AC, (new A/C compressor) Original 351 Cleveland V8 with 4 Barrel carburetor, Heavy-Duty Suspension, (all new shocks front & rear) Power Front Disc Brakes, (all new brakes front & rear, rotors, and new master cylinder) Power Steering with Rim Blow-Deluxe Steering Wheel, Power Windows, High Back Bucket Seats with Deluxe Belts, Center Console, Electric Clock, Hideaway Headlights, Hood Mounted Tachometer, Shaker Hood Scoop, Intermittent Wipers, AM/FM stereo and more.
Recent maintenance includes Transmission Overhaul, New Brakes, New Shocks, New Valve Springs and Seals, Wheel Bearings, New Battery, and complete tune-up. The odometer shows 14,700 miles, with total mileage unknown.
Our goal on all the cars we purchase is to make them safe and reliable. We like to drive them to cruise-ins, car shows, cars & coffee events, or to the grocery store, it doesn't matter, we love to drive cool cars.
This is an opportunity to buy a hard to find classic, especially with the factory options it came with.
If you want to stand out in the crowd, and don't mind the attention, this 70 Torino GT Convertible is for you.
Please give me a call if you are a serious buyer with any questions you may have. I'm old school and prefer to communicate by phone. Please do not text or email. I will not respond to either. I do not need any help selling this car.
