1950 Ford F-1, w/Flathead V8, Radio Heater Manual Trans Turn Signals Barn Find!

Dr. BrianHere is really good antique two owner truck - a 1950 Ford F-1 (half ton) pickup truck (VIN 98RC 392676. Model 9RC. F-1 - inside glovebox door). Truck looks to be complete and is being sold as it was found along with another vehicle. It is not currently running and driving. but turns over and was used within the last number of years when the original owner was living. shedded since that time. It may need light mechanical work. may need some body work. and could be kept as is or restored in part or in full. It has been garaged since it was acquired. Selling without reserve. one bid buys it!***** CONDITION: Mileage is 104. 75 on the odometer. interior has had the main seat recovered in black vinyl while the roof inside is just painted metal. both sun visors are present. the original floor mat is there and doors do have cardboard panels on them. Glass looks pretty good on the truck. dash gauges are used but complete. steering wheel is original and does have cracks. and some interior paint surfaces have been repainted with some overspray present. Tires are now radials on the truck. older versions with white walls. and original hubcaps are not present. Body on the truck has been repainted many years ago to the red you see. was a dark blue prior to that. Paint is a fair to poor job. some rubber moldings around windows are painted over. some cracking and chips of paint missing. and some areas could use a redo if desired. There are bed rails on the truck made of wood. the floor of the bed is metal only (in good shape except in bed corner behind passenger. needs a patch). there are a few additional reflectors added to the front and rear end here and there for safety. and the body has some areas of light rust. dings. some peeling paint where the blue is coming through. and a few areas that may have had filler in a few spots at one time (grill corners. fenders) minor. There is an am radio and faceplate installed in the truck. it is a Ford model radio. Truck is very presentable for a driver. could be used as is or redone to some level. I am confident that the paint on the truck is quite old as to when it was redone. ***** DRIVE-LINE: Truck has an original Ford flathead V8 motor in it with manual floor shifting transmission. Truck last ran about 6 to 7 years ago and has been sitting since that time in a garage. The underneath of car has the usual grime. grease and surface rust to floor. frame and various cables. brakes and other components. Previous owner did have work done to the radiator and hoses. work done on wheels and tires (rolls fine). some light electrical work done as usual maintenance to keep it running. There is no battery with the sale or in the truck and none of the hubcaps shown. There also is no rust through in the floors. but I am confident the gas tank will need redoing. brakes will need work. and all fluids will need to be changed. as well as a carb redo. tuneup etc… Doors open and close properly while there are no additional parts with this vehicle. Seems like clutch bearing is froze up from sitting and would need to be either replaced or worked on (common issue). With some light work. it should come alive fine. I did not see any jacking equipment. manuals/books. or spare tire – all vin info is inside the glove box on the stamped plate with the motor’s heads being marked 8BA.
