Car description |
---|
Cab is metal, original; fenders and running board are fiberglass and bed is a metal reproduction. Engine is probably a Cleveland of unknown displacement or internals [never opened]-four barrel carb. Three speed automatic, disc brakes on the front, drums on the rear. Dropped front axel, transverse leaf spring on front, coil over springs and shocks, with sway bar on the rear. thermostatic fan, aftermarket wire wheels. Nice interior and fantastic pin stripping job. Frame has lightened cross brace.
Purchased from a broker in 2011. Enjoyable truck that I have driven probably 1000 miles max. I have invoices for lots of detail work done on the truck: fan rework, electric choke, battery relocation, sway bar, rework the grill position and reposition the cab, reinforce running boards, relocate the oil filter, complete front suspension and steering rework and new front tires. Garage stored.
Things I don't know: engine displacement and any internal mods; rear end ratio; brands of several major components; and name of original constructor - came from Connecticut.
Terms: $2000 deposit to my PayPal account within 24 hours of auction conclusion, balance by cashiers check within seven days. NO sale outside the US. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and arrangements. Truck will not be shipped or title transferred until all payments have cleared. Seller reserves the right to sell before the auction period closes.
Note: The truck was sold to me as a 1933. When I had it inspected in NC, the NCDMV said the VIN was a 1937. The VIN also fits the range of 1933's on the Internet. Nevertheless NCDMV would only title it as a 1937.
