Car description |
---|
360 FE, 3 speed Ford manual column shift. *Currently cranks but does not start - likely due to points or fuel filter.*
Video here of motor running from this past summer (copy and paste into browser):
https://youtu.be/Onc6STJWPGk
Original Wimbledon White and Swiss Aqua tu-tone paint is present under PO's primer coat.
The previous owner spent almost $4k to rebuild the 360 with a mild cam and unleaded fuel conversion (I have receipt) and then parked it for 6 years due to a cross-country move. He also welded in new floors and resealed the transmission.
I did the basics - drained the tank and refilled with ethanol-free and rebuilt the carb. The motor ran smoothly after that once warmed up. However, it has been sitting for a few months and now does not start. It cranks strongly but does not catch.
Due to family commitments, I have realized I do not have the free time to justify keeping it.
It should make a fantastic truck with not too much work needed to get it back on the road.
Known issues:
Tires hold air but need replaced before driving on road
Front brakes need bled (new wheel cylinders already bought, ready to install)
Differential is weeping at pinion seal
Intermittent taillight flickering
Rust holes in radiator support and cab mounts
Radio (original) needs fixed
The good:
Rebuilt 360 with mild cam
Hooker headers
Original wheels & hubcaps
New aluminum radiator and electric fans (original fan included)
Bed is solid
New floor pans
Original carb per date code (previous owner replaced hot air choke with manual choke)
Stock fuel pump, distributor/points, etc.
Original owners' manual still in truck
1971 Ford truck shop manual on CD included
Originally sold new at Frank Ryburn Ford in Millington, TN.
Currently located in Jacksonville, FL.
