Car description |
---|
Up for sale is a Bright Gold 1970 Ford Torino GT convertible with its original Ginger vinyl interior, carpet, and believed to be numbers matching original 302 v8 engine and c-4 automatic transmission. This is a fairly rare Ford, with only 3,939 Torino GT convertibles produced in 1970. The car is almost completely original primarily with the exception of a paint change from the SUPER rare Light Ivy Yellow (1 of 27 Torinos in that paint / interior combo!). Its current color appears to be Bright Gold, a factory color, and it really enhances the look of this body style!! It also originally had laser stripes and a black convertible top, but the current tan convertible top is in good overall condition and really gives a more sophisticated touring air to the car. The top window is glass and in great shape. It's a power top car and it functions well with its original boot. The odometer shows a little over 48000 original miles and we think that's pretty accurate given the overall condition of the car.
The Deluxe Marti Report is included in the photo gallery and the NADA value is listed at the bottom of the ad.
All the lights are working, the wipers work, it's a power steering, power brake car, all in good shape. The front brakes were recently replaced. The tires are in good condition. The wheels are all original, but one Torino magnum center cap is missing. It does have some rust in the usual places, but nothing really major. The trunk pan is in good shape with what appears to be the original mat (see picture), the floor pans are also in decent shape for its age. It's definitely not mint or restored, but it's in a nice driver condition that would make for a great weekend cruiser or a worthy candidate for a restoration of an extremely rare Ford!
