Car description |

Great condition 1965 Ford Thunderbird. Original California Black Plates. Awesome Ford luxury performance from 1965. Driver and passenger power door windows and rear quarter windows! Dash levers to control fresh air vents at your feet and rear window! Tilt away steering wheel. Power seats. Sequential turn signals! The coolest T-Bird out there.
FE 390 runs great! Green dot Cruise-o-matic three speed. Overall this car is in great condition for a vehicle this old. The interior has been recently reconditioned. All leather is in good shape and dash looks original 1965. Paint is in the process of being cleaned up but I still get compliments on it! It's a solid looking, classic cruiser.
Engine runs great. Brand new four barrel Edelbrock carb. Freshly detailed engine bay.
Some things to consider: As always, expect to work on a car this old. As stated above, the car needs paint. There are some spots of primer, peeling on the trunk lid, etc.
NO ROT!!All metal is clean and solid.
The drivers rear tire doesn't match the other three. The motor is straight piped from the stock FE manifolds to just behind the rear tires. It is loud.
The biggest issue is the transmission. It is mushy. I don't know enough about automatic transmissions. It shifts into all gears. 1st and 2nd feel pretty good. Reverse is a little vague when cold and third engages slower than I would expect. I will state again that I know nothing about automatic transmissions from 1965. It might need a flush and adjustment or a fullrebuild. Do your research before bidding!
I have the headlight bezels but do not have thefender skirts.
I can send more pictures on request. Please don't hesitate to contact with any questions.
