Car description

Highly correct and absolutely distinctive, this 1965 Ford Mustang GT, has all the right upgrades, and keeps strong V-8 power under the hood. I have been owner of this car since 1983. In 2009 it underwent and complete frame up restoration. A new floor pan was put in. The entire suspension replaced along with the braking braking system and brake cylinder. New fuel pump and gas tank. Heater core & blower motor replaced. New glass all the way around. All new wiring and modern fuse panel. Exhaust system replaced. Every piece of chrome was replaced. Interior carpet, seats and headliner replaced. New vinyl top.
Sony digital radio CD player and Alpine speakers.
I do believe this is an original factory GT car. Everything matches for what an original factory GT car should be except that the tail lights do not come on along with the fog lights. This is a factory A-code car built March 1965 in Metuchen, NJ. Under the hood is the correct 289 cubic-inch V8 topped with a four-barrel carburetor. The engine is not original. A rebuilt engine was put in at 82,166 miles. It now has 86,600 miles. C-4 transmission, 3 speed Cruise-O-Matic drive. The data plate says 65B and 62 which indicates a hardtop with blue and white luxury interior and bucket seats. GT-specifics like the fog lights in the grill, GT badges on the fenders and triple stripe on the rocker panels, and dual exhaust pipes coming through the rear valance. The interior has the correct 5 hole instrument panel. The steering wheel is wood. The clock on the Rally pack is not currently working. Styled steel wheels round out this perfect looking Mustang.
Why I'm I selling? I have a 1966 Mustang Fastback that was my dad's. I want to give it a complete restore to honor my father. I need to sell this one for the cash.
