Car description |

Up for sale is my 1991 Taurus SHO.
I unfortunately have to part with my 91 SHO - I have too many cars and I have to thin the herd.
Car received an entire restoration from 2017-2018:All rust completely repaired. (Have extensive photo album)New bushings - Subframe and strut rod.New clutchTransmission from 1995 SHO.Converted to rod shifterNew Struts and strut mounts all aroundBig brake upgradeSolid front motor mount
New Rack and pinionNew Ball jointsFuel tank cleaned and new pump and filter installed.Oil pan gasket and rod bearings replaced (preventative maintenance if you know anything about these cars)Fresh Ford Oxford White paint - looks fantastic. Car is stunning.
Tires are about 8 years old but have less than 4000 miles on them. No cracking or dry rotting, the wheels were pulled off a car that was wrecked with new tires on it and they sat in climate contolled storage.
Lots of NOS parts:NOS shift knobNOS Steering wheelNOS JBL amp and JBL rear speakers and woofersNOS Hardbutton EATC unit
Few upgrades:SHO Source equal length y pipePorted intake and BBB's (Big bore butterflies)JVC aftermarket bluetooth stereo - I have the original JBL Cassette head unit and slave CD player that I will include with the car as well.
Exterior is a 9/10 - There is one small run mark in the paint that isn't noticable unless you are standing right on top of it.Interior is also a 9/10 - Has Gen 2 seats in it. I searched up and down for black Gen 1 seats that weren't destroyed (They are much more aggressive and look better in my opinion) but had no luck.
Car drives FANTASTIC. No leaks of any kind whatsoever. Burns about 1/2 quart every 3000 miles, I've never owned one that doesn't. Car is exceptionally tight with all the new parts and drives like it just rolled off the showroom floor. No squeaks or rattles or supension noise of any kind. I personally drove the car from PA to NY to FL and back home to Kansas City in october - It got roughly 30 mpg and had zero issues.
The autocheck shows some interesting items - This car has never had a salvage title, although it was erroneously reported as so. I called PA to investigate this, and they said it was issued a "non-highway title" as it was titled but not registered. Some states treat this like a salvage title. It has not been in any accidents that I know of, and the car shows no evidence of it.
I wouldn't hesitate to drive this car anywhere, it is mechanically like a new car. Clean title in my name in hand. Cash only, feel free to ask any questions or schedule a time to see the car.
