Welcome and thanks for looking at this auction.
This is a 1961 Ford Falcon 4 Door, orginial color is blue and there has been restoration mechanically. So, please read and ask questions BEFORE placing a bid.
The prior owner has has rebuilt the engine with a 6 cylinder - 68 Torino, rebuilt and told there is less then 10,000 miles on it. He wasn't certain, but that is the established figure he gave me.
The suspension comes from a 1963 Mercury Comet, which he had redone as well.
The rear differential is from a 1964 Falcon.
Alternator/Regulator from 320 is from a 1970 Falcon. In addition, the transmission was redone, but unclear of what was done.
The interior was replaced with larger seats for more comfort and is not the original, but from another Falcon.
The car has been done op since 2014 and has the 2014 tags and all clean and clear papers for transferring.
So, the car is a project fun car. The engine will need some cleaning up and interior some new covers, though this car may be seen as a lot of work to some, in the eyes of the right owner/buyer it is just needing some attention and TLC like most older cars.
I have to give this one up, because of storage and the fact I have another project car in transition of being restored and putting some TLC into that one. I would love to fix this one up as well, but I am extremely limited on space and funds to pay a storage facility. So, I am wanting to put it up on here for another lover of vintage cars to go to a someone to restore this little girl.
The car is very close to having a paint job to get started on.
This car is in very good shape for its age. Some rust spots that I've attempted to patch with fiberglass. The engine and trans are strong. I've pulled all the dash/interior/glass out of the car in preparation for bodywork and paint.
4 Door Falcons are fairly hard to come by are a bit harder to find, but I prefer the 4 doors, which this one is. I have noticed the 2 door models are all over the place and commonly turned into hot rods. This car has had some extra suspension work done to it before I got it and the car runs well with no issues.
This is a very good California project car for the right person. In just needs some body work, paint and put it back together to start driving it. This is not a complete "tear down" restoration project. This is more of a "finish it" project.
Take a look at the pictures. All of the rubber/weather trim is new. I have all the glass/windows. Car runs & drives (needs a new battery and some quick-start). Worth over $12k when completed and looking good. VERY HARD TO FIND ORIGINAL 4 DOOR Falcons like this.
Located in Mission Viejo, California.
Buyer is responsible for pickup/moving/relocation of the vehicle: if not moved promptly any additional cost for storage will be the responsibilityof the winning buyer.
Ask any questions you like about it? I'm focusing on my other Falcon to complete it and don't need two of them.
Thank you for looking and again, feel free to contact me and I will get back to you right away.
