Car description |

We are a small little auto/body shop in the heart of Indiana. We love restoring classic cars and do several each year. We have sold several cars here on Ebay and EVERY customer we have had has had their expectations met and most times exceeded! We will ship our car to you IF you set up the shipping.
Please call John at 765-252-9914 to set up a viewing/test drive of this amazing car! Questions as well.
It seems like we cannot get away from finding these beautiful 1964 Galaxie 500XL cars. We found this car in amazing all most all original condition. This car has some of its original paint! The roof still has its original paint! Find that on another one! We could not pass this one up and have done very little to it to get it to the stunner you see here.
Heres what we did:New complete tune up which includes changing the points over to a Pertronix electronic ignition system.Changed all the fluids.New tiresNew chrome reverse wheels (we could do a great set of slots as well ((see pics)))Changed front coil springsRaised rear slightly with a leaf spring adjustment
This one is finished in amazing Wimbledon White with a super gorgeous bucket seat console interior Palomino in color.
Options include automatic transmission, power steering, bucket seats, console, XL trim, factory fender skirts (in the trunk in protective bags), and Z code V-8 power!
It IS the big Z Code Thunderbird 390, all NUMBERS MATCHING drivetrain! Yes, all numbers match on this car! Here's the other cool thing about this car. I'm told there were two different carburetor options with a factory Holley being one. This one has it! The guy that ordered this car wanted a racer but didn't want to poney up for the 427, and this one is the next best thing.
Believe me when I tell you that there never has been any rust on this car! NONE, not now not ever! the factory white is VERY visible underneath the car. It is in FANTASTIC condition all around.
The gentleman that owned it was smart enough to not remove the factory radio, he did add one of those cool older FM converters. We left that alone as it works well and is tastefully mounted.
You may see this car and think that it is NOT resale red or black and want to pass it by, DON'T make that mistake. This is as clean a Galaxie 500XL as you will EVER see and we have it priced right.
