Selling my 1966 Mustang Coupe. I have owned it since November 2013. I bought it to restore it and that is what I did. When it was bought it had a freshly rebuilt 347 stroker motor on a 302 crate motor. She runs great. I have not done much to the motor at all. I also bought the car with a 9" rear end already installed. 4 speed manual tranny. I will not drive a muscle car with an automatic tranny and I do not know why people do. She had a lot of surface rust along with some dents on the body. the interior was a mess. cracked windshield. and bad tires/wheels. I have since gone through it all. Here is a list of what was done:Paint/Body: Removed all surface rust (NO RUST. NO BUBBLES. NADA!!!) this was a fortune. The body is straight as an arrow. Gloss black paint. Entire paint/body was $5k. I planned on keeping the car so I really made sure this was done correctly. Also added on a new chrome front bumper. new hood. new passenger door. new windshield. new emblems. and new chrome tail light coverings. Also. new chrome moldings around the front and back windows. Wheels/Tires: She is sitting on BFGOODRICH Radial TA tires all around. 255's in the back. When you have a lot of motor you need a lot of rubber. New wheels as well to complement the paint. Less than 100 miles on this package. Interior: New headliner. dash. instrument cluster. radio. kick panels. package tray. speakers. upholstery. door panels. and carpet. All new. So you have a restored classic Mustang with a lot of horsepower and a rare option 4 speed manual tranny. All good. But in the case with all online auctions there is bad. I will not hide it from you. Oil leak. The previous owner installed a 5 quart oil pan. This pan leaks. Haven't gone under the car in detail to find out where/why. Suspension. Well suspension is good but the massive tires in the rear will rub when high speeds hitting bumps in the road. The solution was air shocks and they work well to prevent this. But the air shocks need to be filled all the way up about every two weeks or you will get this rub again. I would invest in stiffer shock on the back to fix this problem entirely. Interior. Yes. it is all new. But I am not a pro. I am a guy that likes to have a project and this Mustang was one of them. It looks great but you don't need to look too far to see small details like the door panel is missing one pin that holds it in or that the instrument cluster is missing a screw. or anything small like that. The smaller details I am not a fan of. That is a summary of the bad. Clear CA title in my name. Current registration. Newer battery. Will ship anywhere in the world. Her name is Alicia. but feel free to rename. If I don't get what I want for her I will keep it. The best offer feature has an automatic rejection and automatic acceptance built in. You will know immediately if the offer is accepted. If you want a rust free. big motor. manual tranny. tastefully beautiful Mustang this is the one for you.
