Here's a rare chance to own a Fairlane in its seldom seen fourth generation form. This 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 makes a great first impression with its striking color and well-aligned exterior. It's running strong, idles smoothly and features some top of the line components that not only up the level of the driving experience it offers, but also equip it with some serious aftermarket cachet. Its magnetic blue metallic paint attracts attention right off the bat with its nice, smooth texture, strong shine and an even coloring from front to back. The silver encircling the roof and pillars is an element you don't see that often in a car of any vintage and it really makes this early Fairlane stand out from the crowd. Fairlanes of this vintage had elaborate front grilles with lots of detail to them, featuring an almost macramé-like pattern, and the one here is a fitting representative as it sits over a front bumper that, like its counterpart in back, is in very sharp condition. From the Ford lettering on the front of the hood, to the emblems on its front fenders, on back to the taillight panel, its array of badging presents well, and in back the sharp pinstriping on the deck lid is a great added detail. The interior is definitely a strong feature on this '63. It's in great condition throughout and really represents a nice job of blending some aftermarket elements into its suitably vintage confines. The upholstery throughout is very much on point here - the black vinyl covers on both the front buckets and rear bench seat really look nice and to each side you'll find door panels with matching tuck and roll patterns that sit flush against their door frames. Between the buckets sits a center console that's also in very clean shape and offers some welcome interior storage space. Just in front of the generously proportioned original steering wheel, the dash area retains its original configuration and is sporting updated, fully functional clear gauges as well as a fresh dash pad that shows no splits. The glove box is ornamented with striking pinstriping and if you look inside, you'll find a CD player poised to fill the cabin with sound. The trunk area in back looks clean and solid, with a vinyl liner in place to protect the floor and a fresh-looking rubber seal sitting just below the deck lid to keep everything dry. The engine compartment on this vintage Ford is well-detailed and features clean black inner fenders and firewall. At its center sits a period correct 260 cubic inch V8 that's outfitted with a chrome air cleaner and valve covers, along with an Edelbrock intake manifold and a 4-barrel carb and is running with all the smoothness you'd want in a frequent driver. It teams with a precisely-shifting 3-speed automatic transmission that carries an additional overdrive gear to bring RPMs down at highway speeds. To the front of the compartment, an aluminum radiator and electric fan have been added to keep temperatures in check. Smoothly recessed into the console are the controls to the full air ride system that will really draw some attention as it raises and lowers the chassis at your command. Power steering makes this Fairlane easy to navigate as it turns heads on its 17" chrome torque thrust wheels wrapped with BF Goodrich G-Force tires. You don't often see a Fairlane from this era on the road, and the sharp looks and strong running condition of this 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 make it even rarer still. Call today!
