1943 WWII FORD GPW JEEP. Original and restored.
To start off, this Jeep is VERY original. This is GPW 103798 and was made at the Dallas, TX Ford plant on March 31, 1943. The frame and body are MATCHING NUMBERS. This vehicle came out of Texas recently. We do not know the history of it unfortunately.
I have the original 3 data plates that came with this vehicle and have a picture of the same GPW number on the frame. Lots of Ford 'F' script parts.
MOST parts are original WWII parts. From what I know the engine and main components, frame, body & accessories, hood, transmission, front seats, (most of the gauges), windshield, grill, steering wheel, jerry can, data plates (not in photos but included), lots more. Some of the gauges, back seat, wire cutter, canvas top/cover, and various other parts aren't original, but correct for WWII. Does not have combat wheels, but a set of 5 can be easily acquired.
Body is an ORIGINAL one, NOT a phony kit. So there are some imperfections on it. Some drilled holes are there for draining and there are some more imperfections, but tub is rock solid. There is no rust on this vehicle at all. Frame is also original so there will be imperfections but it is rock solid as well and no rust. Great southern vehicle. Don't waste your money on a Jeep with a replica tub, not the same feeling as this original beast.
Engine is an original WWII GPW replacement engine, dating to June 1945. Has correct head which is F marked.
All lights work... Blackout lights work but are a bit faint since they are original lenses. Horn isn't correct type but works as well.
Jeep does not have a title. It will be bill of sale only. We did not drive it often on the road so did not bother to get a title for it. Should not be too hard considering it is restored and in proper running condition.
PLEASE ask for more photos. We have many more pics as well as videos... Also, if you are in our area please contact us to come look at it.
Will come with extra various items, replica manuals, the original data plates, pictures before restoration.
Runs terrific. This has been driven and cared for. Was at the 2018 dream cruise and drove for hours with no issues at all. Includes canvas top, however still needs windshield rivets installed.
Markings are for Company A, 141st Infantry, 36th Infantry Division.
No vehicle title included, vintage military vehicles do not have titles
Ships via USHIP worldwide, rates will vary
