Hello and thank you for looking at my ad. If you grew up in the 80's and 90's like I did, then you know that the Mustang 5.0s were absolutely legendary at that time. You either had one, or you wished you did. They were fast, sporty, and tougher than nails. Unfortunately, most of them were either abused and ran into the ground, or else they were modified for racing until they were either wrecked or thrown away. Very rarely do you find one in good condition now that it's 30 years later. If you have been looking for an original 5.0 Mustang to re-live your youth....today is your lucky day! I am proud to be able to offer for sale this 1989 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, and it is one of the finest original examples of this iconic 80's musclecarthat you will ever find!

This particular Mustang was built in Dearborn, Michiganand sold brand newat Don Meyer Ford in Greensburg, Indiana. Over the last 30 years it has been meticulously maintained and cared for, and has been driven only 46,700 miles. The car is all original and in absolutely beautiful condition both inside and out. I have all of the original dealer paperwork, books, and warranty information for the car, including the original factorywindow sticker, which is actually in the window! This car sold for $18,900 back in the summer of '89.

The car features the Oxford White exterior over the Scarlet Red clothinterior. It is a very stunning combination, especially with the red stripe and accents on the outside. It features a white convertible top and the factory 15x7 inch turbine aluminum wheels, whichare absolutely perfectand featurebrand new 225/60/R15 Cooper tires. The exterior is in mint condition with no dents or scratches. There are a few tiny stone chips that were touched in over the last 30 years, but nothing serious. The top and back window are perfect. The interior is about as flawless as you will ever see in your life. It is spotless, and absolutely gorgeous. It has all the power options you could get at the time, as well as cruise control and AC. Everything is original, and everything works as it should. It even has the original factory stereo system with cassette deck and it sounds fantastic. The car has been detailed, waxed, and polished and is ready to show.

The engine is the famous 5.0 V8, coupled with the 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. The car runs and drives as you would expect a car with such low mileage to perform.Itis smooth, quiet, and solid. It has had recent routine maintenance in the last 6 months including new spark plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, oil change, and everything else to bring it up to par and ready to drive anywhere with no worries. It has no mechanical issues whatsoever.The previous owner installed a cold air induction on the engine, butby the time you read this I will have the factory air box and filter installed. The brakes work great, and the carhas plenty of power. There is nothing like putting the top down on a convertible 5.0 and listening to the exhaust rumble!

All in all, what we have in this car is a time machine that is uniquely able to bring you back to 1989, which was a simpler place, and I think it was a lot more fun! These cars are going up in value due to thedemand for nice, low mileage examples, and this one is a great investment. You can buy this car, drive it and enjoy it, and watch your investment grow each and every day. If the car is maintained, you will make money if you ever decide to sell it.
