1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible, Custom, FE Big Block Powered!

Current owner has had the car for about 12 years, bought the car restored, all the paint and body and the lion's share of the interior were done when he got it. It has held up and looks beautiful. The car is professionally stored indoors and used by his parents, mostly as a "parade car'.

EXTERIOR

Custom touches abound on this '58 Fairlane, horizontal grill, frenched-in radio antenna, custom blue dot tail lights, and side mounted "Lakes Pipes" for show. Hand-laid pinstriping accents all the custom touches around the car.

INTERIOR

The soft trim was done, but the gauges and infotainment needed updating, so he redid the gauges, and stereo system with all new wiring harnesses. The Dakota Digital VHX Gauges are a particularly nice touch. The custom stereo is fitted nicely in the dash. All the gauges and accessories work. The Lokar Shifter was also added by the current owner.
When they rewired the car, they chose not to rewire the dual search lights, so they are simply there for show. He also installed a brand-new top on the car, which works flawlessly.

ENGINE BAY

He had a newly rebuilt 460CI Ford Big Block installed in the car, trimmed out in finned aluminum COBRA valve covers and air cleaner assembly.

CHASSIS

He also did the power disc front brake conversion, which are cross drilled and slotted. The frame and suspension are stock, although the shocks and springs are new. The undercarriage is clean, rust free, and simply painted flat black.
Overall, a very well sorted and well-maintained vehicle.
