The Mustang started in 1964 and the basic concept is over 50 years old. Its basic size and engine options have varied over the 50 years but the overall silhouette remains the same. It is one of the few iconic cars where a fastback style can sell for as much as the convertible. The car in this ad is one of those favorite fastbacks and has many tasteful touches that really makes the car pop out in a crowd of collector cars. Besides all that according to the owner it has the original 351 Cleveland engine (rebuilt) and the original 4-speed transmission (rebuilt) and has a ground up restoration that was completed in 2007. In the owners own words The seller tells us that 1973 Ford Mustang Mach I is painted in a beautiful metallic blue (1997 Ford Truck blue) with black stripes and had a ground up restoration between 2004 and 2007. The car has less then 1. 00 miles since the restoration. Odometer reads 106. 62 miles. The seller has a file with many of the invoices for the work that has been done on the car. The seller has owned the car since 2004. Purchased this car from his nephew who owned it 5-6 years. The original 351 Cleveland engine was rebuilt. Original transmission with 4-speed Hurst shifter was rebuilt. Tires only have less then 1. 00 miles on them. Paint. interior and chrome are like new from the restoration. N. O. S. carpet and interior. Replica of the oak wood and metal steering wheel. Does not have original radio. New Tach with built in gauges on steering column. Underside was all power washed. Everything under the car. in the trunk and under the frame. body and engine compartment painted with frame saver paint. This was a southern car and was not rusty prior to restoration.
