1926 Ford Model T - RoadsterNO RESERVEThanks for checking out my 1926 Ford Model T Roadster. I love these little cars. there is just something really fun about driving these real steal Henry Ford machines around. they are a true work of art. The auto industry during those times were really amazing. no Cad drawing programs. no computers. just people with pen and ink. coming up with one of the most successful inventions of all time. The Model T and its drive train was very forward thinking. very impressive. I have owned several T's in the past. everyone just smiles as you drive by. no mater how young or old. they just bring a lot of joy to everyone. This Roadster came out of a collection of cars. that dates back to the 1940's. This gentleman passed away a number of years ago. but he lived and breathed Model T's. it was amazing to be there seeing all the parts. felt like I was on a Model T ranch. This car he owned for many years when he started collecting. He finally started restoring it in the 1960's. and he completed it a number of years later. It had been on their property for over 70 years. He loved this little T. used it in many Parades around his home town. took it to car shows and such. lots of people new the car. When he passed it was given to his daughter. the car never left the property all of these years. I happened onto the car one day. it was tucked away in their barn. were it had been stored away. They always kept it running. nbsp;but it rarely seen the light of day in the last 10 years. I had to have it. I remember my grandpa always talking about these cars when I was a little kid. telling me stories about converting these cars into snow cats. building Model T air compressors. etc. they have always been a part of my life. especially when it comes to my grandparents. I am 44 years old. and not to many guys my age. have even been behind the wheel of a vehicle that is almost 100 years old. it is great to see these cars still on the road and the Legacy they leave beind. It is such a treat to hear them run. nbsp;especially when you put it into high gear. and it just scoots along. the sound can not be duplicated by anything since. This car is Titled here in Oregon. the VIN on the engine matches the title. obviously miles are unknown. there is no odometer. but it comes with a free gas gauge. a nice stick with marks on it. Easy overseas transport. all paperwork is in order. I have been selling classic cars here on eBay since 2003. 12 years now. with around 500 classic cars sold over the internet. with 100% Feedback. What I love about these old cars. is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time. I have turned this passion into a business. but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. It has been such a joy to do business with people all over the world. I have sold multiple cars to many buyers all over from Europe. Dubai. Australia. Japan. Brazil. nbsp; just to name a few. It has always been a pleasure. getting to know other car enthusiast all over the Continent. especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars. I look forward to doing business here on ebay for many years to come. and look forward to meeting some other like minded classic car nuts like myself. If you would like to call me and talk about the car. that would be great. would love to help you out. if you want to call and talk about cars. it would be my pleasure. I am on the hunt for any Porsche's or interesting classics. please give me a call. 503-910-2085 - Jason. This car has a pretty nice body on it. the paint is older. The family from their memory believes it was painted in the late 60's. and was then put on the road finally in the 70's. This model T is all steel. no fiberglass. fenders. splash pans are all steel. The body is in nice shape. the paint is older as you will see in the photos the car is very solid though. The paint has plenty of chips and scratches on it. lots of touch up spots. and some blended areas. during the last 40 years you got to expect a few. I took lots of photos of it. so take your time and study them and you can get a very good idea of what the paint is like. It is a very good driver. very honest little car. It does show well. perfect for anyone who wants to use it in parades and just putt around town. There are no major dents on the car. maybe a few dings here and there. a few cracks in the fender edges. but pretty minor. but nothing that stands out. hard to take a picture of everything you will get a good idea. The paint like I said is in drive condition. lots of little scratches and chips. touchups. if you want to paint it down the road you could. but honestly I would just upkeep it. drive it and enjoy. The interior is in good shape. The door panels are in good condition. the seat is in nice shape as well. no rips or tears. The top is in good shape. no rips in it either. but it is older but looks nice. and it functions well. The wood in the floor is in good shape. The trunk area. is solid. and not rusty. it could use a floor mat in the trunk. The interior is in very nice shape for its age. Undercarriage is in nice shape. frame looks very solid. no rust. Under the trunk area. inside the fenders. splash pans are very clean. and look really nice. just light surface rust here and there. but nothing to be concerned with. very clean original underneath. The engine starts right up. it is running 6 volt still. has been upgraded with Distributor. so no more coil boxes. does not run on magneto. been upgraded as well with a generator which makes life a lot easier for new T owners. The switch on the dash when you turn the key on. turns the headlights and the ignition on. The engine. runs very good. very clean running. does not burn or blow any smoke. It has an upgraded Anderson Intake and Exhaust unit on it. I kind of like it. since that is my last name as well. The carburetor works good. choke works as well. It has nice clean antifreeze in it. external water pump is a nice add as well. I am not a model T expert. it probably could use a little fine tuning and such by someone who is really knowledgeable but for right now. it does start up. it idles good. and you can drive it around. It drives good. I have not taken it on any long trips or anything. just short little jogs to the store and such. The transmission is straight forward. all the gears function. they could probably use a little adjusting. low and high gear both work. reverse works. and brake works. bands I think might need a little adjusting. The hand brake. works. but the little teeth are worn a bit. so it is best to keep it out of gear when sitting and idling. This T is equipped with a Warford Overdrive. which is really nice to have additional gearing. The Warford works good. goes into all gears. you must be at a stop. with foot on the brake. to stop transmission before you shift into a gear. these units are straight cut gears. These are very safe to have it in neutral and let the car idle. which is very handy when you are warming it up or working on it. The front and rear light do work. The wheels are in nice shape. the tires do hold air. but they have lots of weather checking on them. and small cracks. Overall mechanically it seems to be in pretty good shape. There are the typical oil seapage. around the pan gaskets. there is some seaping between the hogs head and the Warford. Most of these old Model T's leak a little. so best to have a small pan or can under them. and fix the small leaks when you can.
