1956 Ford Fairlane Convertible Sunliner Thunderbird 312 V8 Survivor !!!!!!

1956 Ford V8 Sunliner. Factory V8 312 Automatic car. This is a one owner car out of Washington. We acquired it from a friend whos family member owned it in Washington. The car has been stored indoors in a garage since 1978 so it is in very nice unrestored condition. The car runs and drives fantastic. Starts right up and runs smooth. it shifts. stops and is a very solid driver with one catch. The motor will not hold water!! If you fill the radiator the water ends up in the oil pan. Many speculations can be made as to why but truthfully we have not pulled it apart to investigate. Other then that the car is a cruiser. The body is in very good shape for its age as well as the interior and the top. The car looks very good from 15ft away and shines but it definitely needs a restoration. Rust wise She does have some but easily fixable. The spare tire well in the bottom is rusty but the rest of the trunk is solid. The rear floors have some rust but the fronts are solid. Both quarters have some rust at the bottoms and the right front fender has some poking through the pant. As convertibles go of this age rust wise this car is a star. Most convertibles are horribly rotted but this one is not due to being in storage half its life!!! The car comes with a clear California title. Call Steve at (619) 253-9435 with any questions.
