Car description |

Absolutely beautiful 1969 Mustang Convertible less than 500 miles since restore.. It needs nothing and is absolutely gorgeous. I'll list everything done to it below. They only made 1 convertible for every 20 Mustangs in 1969 with a total of around 14K making this a rare production car. It has been carefully restored and nearly everything has been restored or upgraded. Deluxe Marti report included. Original Window Sticker! All docs on all work done to the car for last 15 years!
Original specs:
1969 Mustang Convertible, 351W engine, 2V (now upgraded), 9 inch rear end, automatic, power steering, and a power top original T code (Candy Apple Red) paint color done in a beautiful 2-stage base-coat, clear-coat. Original color interior (dark red)
Dual exhaust
All suspension has been replaced with new parts within the last year.
Original engine and transmission (by VIN stamps)
Engine removed and completely freshened up with all new seals. Cylinder walls inspected and showed plenty of life left.
Export brace and 1.25" sway-bar added.
Engine bay cleaned, painted and the whole engine bay presents very well (see pics)
Brand new 750ca battery
All new belts and hoses
new starter
new fuel pump
Transmission completely rebuilt (less than 100 miles)
Power brakes were added with new Wilwood 12" disc brakes up front
Shaker Hood, front and rear spoilers
17 inch black torque-thrust style wheels and Firestone tires (less than 500 miles)
Weiand Stealth dual-plane intake manifold (new)
Holley 600cfm carb (new)
Upgraded electronic ignition (new)
New one-wire alternator conversion
Brand new wiring harness front to back!Brand new FORD windshield (try finding one)
New gas tank
Interior like new (redone to original dark red), sound/heat lining under carpet, original dark-red steering wheel professionally restored (unlike the ugly after-market crud). Original radio in place (powers on, not connected to speakers/antenna)
New black top with glass window
New chrome bumbers, backup lights, side markers and all trim.
New Flowmaster 40 performance exhaust
New power-steering pump
Rebuilt shifter
2 stage (base-coat, clear-coat), Candy Apple Red (Ford T, original color) paint (paint is 1 year old and no bubbles have come out so it will last many years). Paint is a good driver-quality.
No rust car. Floor-pan, rails, all repaired, painted and coated for actual driving without worry. Some body panels replaced. No bondo. No rust anywhere.
No leaks.
Starts right up, runs very, very well, very dependable.
Only known issue - Hood springs are old and need replaced (too tight), I have to push the hood down when I close it. Doesn't bother me but about $90 for new hinges. As is typical with most 69s, windows don't exactly line up perfectly (its a convertible), but can be adjusted.
I drive this car to local car meets, and that's it. I drove it at least once a month to keep it lubed and in shape. I just changed the oil on it a few weeks ago, no metal in the pan, no smoke or smells, everything is in great shape. Furthest car show I drove it to was about 40 miles away in the Texas heat, no issues.
I have the original rear quarter ornaments, original wheels and some other parts to go with the car.
Price is firm and well under Haggerty valuation tool, NADA, and others and not even counting the thousands in upgrades.
Local pickup preferred, inspections welcomed and encouraged, as-is no warranty, will assist shipper, but buyer arranges any shipping.
There is a bank lien on the car so title will be 30 days after payment. Can arrange to meet at bank with title if picking up in person.
Cash or bank transfer only
