Car description

INTERNATIONAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS WELCOME! PLEASE CALL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS AT (76O) 805-8O3EIGHT WITH ANY QUESTIONS OR IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JUST BUY IT NOW. This is just a really good and very original 1966 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. There are not too many left like this out there anywhere. It is a true GT. It is not a clone, tribute, replica or whatever other fancy word people seemed to have adopted these days to describe a fake. This is a true Barn Find. When I bought it, the Mustang had been sitting in the same spot in the old man's garage since 1978. It was started from time to time but never really driven. The car has never been restored and has never been apart for restoration. The body is excellent and very solid. It is rust free. The floorboards are excellent. It is equipped with the 289 cubic inch V-8, factory four barrel, and factory four speed manual transmission. It was Vintage Burgundy the day it rolled off of the assembly line in October of 1965. It still is and has one re-paint in the original color about 45 years ago. The paint looks good for a driver but was a lower end re-paint 45 years ago. It is not an over restored show car and is not perfect by any means, so please be realistic with your expectations. Honestly, the paint probably looks better in pictures than it does in person. Unlike a lot of sellers on Ebay, I just want to be upfront and honest from the beginning so you are more than happy with your new Mustang. It is a Survivor, not a Concours restoration. The Mustang remains true to all of the codes on the Door Trim Tag. Vintage Burgundy, Parchment with burgundy interior, 289 A-code, 4 spd, San Jose, California built, 3.00 rearend. The car is very straight and the doors close with that thump that only an unrestored car has. There are some minor chips, scratches, and dings. It has a small dent in the rear panel by the taillight from when the man's 16 year old daughter snuck the car out one night in the early 70s. That was the reason it was stored in the first place. Styled Steel wheels. The interior is very nice, especially for never having been restored. The seats are nice. Fold down back seat. The dashpad is nice. It does have one minor crack but pretty small. The door panels are fine but the driver's side does have a bit of sagging in the upholstery from being 52 years old. The Mustang runs and drives well. It starts right up and settles into a nice, smooth idle. The brakes have been re-done and the fronts are disc brakes. The four speed shifts smoothly. Factory shifter. The original VIN is still in place on the front apron and is clearly visible. Clean, clear CA title in hand.Inspections are encouraged but must be completed before the end of the auction. I am located in Solana Beach, California in North County Coastal San Diego. The Camaro is not for sale. The Pro Street Pontiac Lemans will be soon. Thanks and good luck!
