Car description |
---|
This 1927 Ford Track-T Roadster was built on the East Coast 30+ years ago to mimic the Ron Fournier (Race Craft) sprint style
roadsters. There are only two of the 6 original examples known to exist. (One of the originals is currently for sale at www.pappisgarage.com listed under 1927 sprint T roadster.) This onehas been built to a higher performance degree than the originals with a tremendous amount of documentation. Original build photographs, blueprints, and receipts will be included. It is built on a 1927 custom Model T Ford frame (braced and Z'ed). The body is fiberglass (built by HI-TEC PRODUCTS of Beaverton, Oregaon) with a sprint car nose and grill and an aluminum hood. It sat for 25+ years prior to my purchase. The engine oil, fuel, and radiator fluid have all been drained and everything has been cleaned and flushed. It runs STRONG and drives great. The car has not been used since I purchased it from the estate of the original owner. The car was approximately 95% finished before the original owner was unable to complete it. The minor things needed for the final finish have been purchased and mostly installed. The new still in the wrap Speedway interior is in place but not installed. The Lokar emergency brake handle and billet side mirrors are included, but also not installed. The car was finished to an extremely high degree but has been sitting for a long time. The custom paint on the body chassis is in extremely nice condition. The paint and burnishing on the nose is a work of art. The 9" Currie rear end and underbody of the car are painted a high standard. However, some of the billet aluminum needs polishing, there is minor pitting on some the chrome of the front shocks, suspension parts and lower link bars. The rear bars are all stainless steel. Some of the paint on the engine block and transmission is starting to lift. Other than that, there are no known issues. This car is being offered with a clean Michigan 1927 Ford title at no reserve. I encourage questions and welcome inspections. I will work with your shipper to help with prepaid delivery. Please check my eBay feedback, view all technical data and pictures, and understand that this car is being sold as is/where is. If needed, I can forward video of the car running and driving. This car is also being offered locally and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I am selling some of my collection and moving on to other things. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase an early sprint style roadster at a great price.
