First off I'm listing this for a friend so if you have any questions call or text him @ (405)821-8675. His name is Greg. Up for sale is a 1929 Ford Model A coupe ratrod. I recently purchased the car but due to recent health issues I'm going to let this one go. The body is a 1929 Ford Model A coupe that has been chopped 4. 5" and channeled 2. 75". The body has been media blasted and rust areas repaired. The paint is a distressed matte black to give a faux patina look. This car has windshield only. The body is mounted to a custom square tubed frame. The frame is jig built z-frame made with 2x3 rectangular steel with gussets in the corners for rigidity. The "z" alteration is 4" in front and 16" in the rear. This car does have a modern drivetrain installed. The engine is modern SOHC 2V modular 4. 6 with a carbureted intake. The short block is a NPI engine out of a Lincoln. The PI heads are off of a 2000 mustang gt. This combination bumps up the compression ratio. The engine also has trick flow cams. new upgraded valve springs and timing chains in it. It has a carbureted Edelbrock intake with a 600 edelbrock carb. It also has 8 cop`s for ignition. The ignition system is controlled by MSD MOD 6. Very easy system to work with and tune the car! The tuning parameters are endless for this setup! Very expensive setup. starts and runs great everytime! The car has a new Griffin 4-core aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Coolant lines are made of copper. Behind the engine sets a 4R70W 4-speed automatic with overdrive. The transmission uses a manual valve body to eliminate the use of a computer. A B&M floor shifter is used for gear selection and a toggle switch to put the transmission in overdrive. I get close to 40 mpg with this setup. The suspension consist of a 2" drop model A crossmember with a 6" drop tube axle up front and a coilover setup in the rear. The front also has a pan hard. shocks. a spring behind and a steering stabilizer. The rearend is a 9" out of a '79 Lincoln with a 2. 70 ratio. The car also has disc brakes on all 4 corners. The steering is a new reverse corvair steering box with traditional steering. The wheels are 15" steel wheels with NOS wide whitewalls in perfect condition! The interior is pretty simple. The dash is from a '51 Oldsmobile chopped to fit. The guage cluster is cosmetic only. I use a Garmin GPS that is mounted to the top left of the windshield for speedometer and odometer functions. The car has a quick release steering wheel to make getting in and out easier. As for seats. well its a rat rod! I have bottom cushions made for it and you rest your back on the rear interior panel! its actually comfortable! im 6` tall and 230 lbs and I fit perfect! It is built for bigger people. If you`re shorter then you could put a seat in it putting you closer to the pedals and steering wheel. There is one marine 6" speaker in it hooked to a amplifier. I hooked a ipod hook up to the amplifier also. It is plenty loud! very clean set up. The STOP light in the back has been upgraded with a 6" led light inside of it for maximum visibility and safety. When the brakes are pressed all the brake lights come on. Car also has turnsignals. The Trunk lid is held down by custom leather belt straps! Lots of comments about them everywhere we go!!As of now the car has exhaust that goes to the back. but I have a custom set of headers that are going with the car. The car uses the original gas tank with a dip sick to check fuel level. It uses a Carter electric fuel pump. Be ready though. I cant drive this car anywhere and expect to leave soon! I get stopped by people all the time to look at it! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions! This is a great car and it wont be for sale for long! Car is sold AS IS WHERE IS. NO WARRANTIES AND NO REFUNDS OF ANY KIND. CAR IS LISTED LOCALLY. SO I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION AT ANY TIME. The only issues with the car is a small oil leak at the valve cover and the shifter rattles a little.
