1959 Ford Fairlane 500

The car is a "resto-rod". The outside of the car. the dashboard. steering wheel all original to a 1959 Ford Fairlane. However. the engine is a newer 302 engine. I do not know how old the engine is. The interior has been redone with newer seats. I purchased the car in 2008. I was able to drive the car for only a short time maybe 3 or 4 times until the brakes stopped working. The car could use a complete brake job. IT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT A FRAME-OFF RESTORATION. The outside of the car as you can see are in good condition. but it by no means a great paint job. There is the usual rust underneath car to be expected from a car this old. I have not come across any major rust. but I have never put the car up on a rack to give it a thorough inspection. I do not see any major rust areas on the car. However. I am not a car expert or mechanic. It is a decent car. As far as I know the engine runs fine. Again I have not run the car for very long. The biggest problem with engine is that it has now sat for several years. I will be glad to send any requested pictures and answer any questions.
