This beautiful little car was built from a complete frame-off restored 1930 Ford Model A Tudor (see last pic). We removed the entire drivetrain and installed a blueprinted 59A Flathead V8 built by Flathead City with a lumpy cam and electronic ignition running though dual exhaust with Smitty's mufflers. It's hooked up to a T5 5-spd manual transmission and a Chevy S10 rear end with 3.42 gears. Up front is a 4" dropped axle and disc brakes. It's rolling on '35 Ford Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with knock-off hubcaps and (5) 6.00 x 16 bias ply "pie crust" tires. It has a Chevy tilt column to incorporate turn signals with a new '40 Ford reproduction steering wheel. Also has a 12-volt electrical system.
The car has only been driven about 500 miles. It does not have an odometer nor speedometer. No radio. No power steering or brakes. No heater. One manual wiper.
When restored, the car got a new LeBaron and Bonney interior, new glass, new everything. We added seatbelts and carpeting. It still employs the stock Model A fuel tank.
The car was properly restored in terms of all details, fasteners, etc. It does have a couple scratches on one side near the door that are pretty much not noticeable with the door closed. Also has a couple scratches on the roof above the rear window. It is all steel and has a really good body but does have fiberglass fenders .
This car starts immediately, drives perfectly, and will go anywhere. It is somewhat cold-natured and has a manual choke. The bias ply tires make it a little "darty" but you won't find a better running/driving/stopping flathead-powered Model A. It was built by a guy who has built a number of cars for me and is a real professional.
Selling down my collection of cars. Leased out our building and just don't have use for all these cars.
